Well...

I just bought some HD-25's cause my cat chewed through the cord on my HD-205's. I just want to know if i can get the cord replaced or repaired on the 205's? I want to keep them as a back up pair just incase.

yeah parts on almost every pair of sennheiser headphones are available separately as a spare, and additionally with the actual cords the majority of them are interchangeable. so you can buy a coil cord and slap it on your HD205's ifyou so desire.. if i remember correctly the 205s have the same little plug thing on the cans.

I think the cord is too short! I might just extend it with another cord male to female from Jaycar...I do not think I will lose much quality???Anyone else do this?

i don't but i believe you'll be right so go ahead. a 2m cord would be awesome. the other ones end up being too long and the coil cord ends up dragging the cans down a bit, while 1.5m is just a tad too short.

got mine as soon as they came out and they were expensive as fuck and still use them today....10 years and ive only had to replace the muff covers coz the standard material was shit, velour for the win.

best headphones ive bought ever to this day, i use it for just about everything. from music to watching movies in my room late @ night. and of course.....to cut out the parents bitching so i can concentrate on the beautiful music we call trance

a massive, unashamed BUMP...

my hd25s fucked out tonight, big time, right when i started playing a gig. the right ear (the one with the cord attached) just dropped out - stopped working. zip. nadda. nuffin. they were working a treat just the night before, but tonight they just bitched out for some unknown reason. i checked all the connections, all good. they're less than 3months old... any have any advice?? i almost cried a little tear (just like the american indian in those old school littler ads) when i heard no sound. im a can mixer, so i really value good sound in both ears... god damn it, i love u hd25, but right now we're on rocky ground...

help??

Sometimes the connections into the actual earpiece come loose, just push it back in and it should be right, have never actually heard of the drivers on these f#@king up!!!

haha, yeh dont go for those bollocks, u'll regret it...however if ur a beginner DJ they might be appropriate for ur price range. im just a little biased since getting the 25s... its like eating a meal at an upmarket eatery, then having to go back to maccas.

anyway, my i tested my cans in my lappy and they werk fine, so it can be either...

the input on my mixer is kaput

or

the connection between the 6.5-3.5 is dodgy... but i made sure it was screwed on tight when i realised they werent working. but tbh, i was that buckled when i was playing on sat night i wouldve given sven a run for his money. almost.

Any love here for the HD212's ?

For a lower price headphone (I paid $120 for mine about 2 yrs ago) they have served me very well...dropeed 'em numerous times expecting to have to replace them and they are still in one piece...great sound quality for a cheaper headphone (comparable even to the HD25's imo).

the twin chord on those annoys me, but they are awesome headphones for a reasonable price for sure!

just a little tid bit of info for anyone looking at getting the coiled cord version. the cord is REALLY heavy, even compared to other coileds such as the technics. would piss me off way too much, i was planning on buying a pair, but after using a mates i will now stick to the straight cord. now... do i want 90 degree or straight jack
