$100 In Ear Headphones
Can anyone recommend me some in ear headphones for my ipod for around the $100 or under mark?

Was looking at the CX300 by Sennhesier. Anyone had any experience with these, or can anyone recommend something around that price range?

I just dont wanna walk around with my over ear xone's and look like a try hard on the way to work is all

Cheers

The in-ear sennheissers are great. Had mine for over a year and they are still going strong. I listen to my ipod at work for maybe 5 or 6 hours a day + travel there and back. I accidently dropped one of the headphones in a cup of water next to the bed in the dark the other night, and it is still fine lol.

panasonic in-earphones on the other hand.... forget about em. They lasted maybe 8 months.

In-earphones are great for not pissing off other people on public transport or at work.

I'm looking at the Shures atm but what are my other options?? Washed my second pair CX300's thinking of something with a case, more likely to feel them before putting them in the wash

Prefer something with a little less isolation than the CX300's... I can't hear people at work with them in..

Not for DJing but for my 32GB touch

hd25's aren't actually over ear they sit on the ear which can make them uncomfortable for wearing for a long period of time.

I tried a lot and the Shure were OK, but I went the the Audio Technica. Just the right isolation, best sound I hear out of all of them. Was even better than some of the considerably more expensive types. Cost me around $100 I think? Just looked them up, here is the model:

That's why I bought my second pair, lost mine while pulling my iPod touch out to use as a tip calculator and cbf looking and then waiting for another one to arrive.. I'll have a look in my draw at work tomorrow, if the other one's still there, I'll PM ya and send it off

They fit me fine One of the middle ones fell off when I was pulling mine iPod out of my pocket.. My boss is a kiwi so has small ears, I slapped the little ones on and gave 'em to him

You can find the Sennheiser CX500's for under $100 if you look:

Well you obviously treat your stuff like shit...had mine for over 2 years and they're fine and dandy...plus they come with a 2 year full replacement warranty, so if you didn't keep your receipt and take them back from whence they came, you're a fool.

Had to buy a pair of cx300s as I had to send my Etymotic ER-4Ps to the US for repair. My only gripe with the cx300s is that the bass is overdone and not true. Apart from that they're pretty decent for the $80 pricetag. The tops and mids are quite good.

It's been more than twice... I washed my first set twice, and second set once.. It's usually a case of come home drunk, put iPod, phone and wallet on desk, take off pants, pass out, wake up next day, put pants in washing machine after seeing iPod, phone and wallet on desk...

hehe....

solution: buy a $300 plus set of earphones and when you accidentally put them in the wash the first time, you won't do it again.

Spent $130 on what I've got now... Reduced from $180.. They live inside their case when I'm not using them and I haven't washed them once

i was working on probability based on the number of people who haven't had any issues with the same product compared with the likely hood of some one treating their gear like shit.

which do you think is more likely?

$60 at JB...

I have tried the Shure ones for around the $250, but i can't justify spending 4-5x as much when they don't sound 4x better

I was reading reviews that the cx300's are very fragile with their wires and can be broken easily. I know this myself cause i had a diff pair of senn earphones and it only took a little tug from a seat adjustment to render it useless. I'm in the same boat willing to spend no more than $100usd on good quality headphones for techno that will work well when snowboarding. Something with good bass emphasis but not to the point of irritating and drowning the other freqs. What to choose?
