I use Winamp for constructing my playlists. It's quite a light application to run, if you use the classic view.

I don't however; use it for burning CDs.

Nero works for all those requirements, but make sure you convert files to wav format first and burn at a relatively slow speed (eg. 16x)

What's wrong with iTunes?......I suppose other than the fact u can't really choose what's printed on the track lists. Other than that it keeps playlists organized, even into groups/folders, burns easily and prints the lists all pretty well

Yes you can. Just select song listing, then custom. You can even adjust the size of the columns.

There is no setting to enable CD text, I always convert my mp3 to wav format and just dump the files into nero.. once complete, the text is all there

Why do you convert to wav first? Audio quality won't change if you burn the mp3's directly as an audio CD.

You just drag the songs you want to burn into nero. CD text comes up in the project, it's all editable. Shit explanation but it's all very self explanatory.

I thought that when you drag an mp3 to the burning software, the software converts the mp3 to wav format before the burning process begins. That's what's going on when there's that few seconds of delay when you drag n drop files to the software.

I use Ashampoo for Burning. 10x just to be safe. I've had problems in the past with burning tracks at high speeds.
And i have a custom Template in CorelDraw X3 that i use for Labels for the cd wallet.
It has - style, date, 10 track spots and key. I just type the info in and press print.

it's better to use Wav's, while your correct about there being no increase in quality, the CDJs are able to map the songs alot faster, thats what ive both heard and noticed, opinions?

If you burn the MP3 as an audio CD, it doesnt matter if it started as wav or not, they are both RAW cd audio format now.

The difference comes if you burn as an MP3 disk, which saves space, but experiences the problems you said. (maps songs slower, loads slower etc)
