fark no. And it pissed me off. Having said that I only tried storedj who is currently advertising the twin pack there for $1778.00. djwarehouse online similar shitty price for the last couple of months.

The other weekend storedj had a selected few units in at their store pickup only on the sat for $799 each but I couldn't get there.

Have recently been able to purchase 2 x cdj400s at $1600 which I guess is ok. Feel like I should have attempted to get them from jb hifi after reading this thread - they are currently advertised at $877.00 each but surely if you bought 2 they'd have to bring the price down a little.

Oh well too late now, $1600 has already been spent.

400s are great entry level CDJs.
IMO in comparison to the higher models, the only downside is the size of them and not having a waveform display. If you can get past that, they're great for the price!

Not a bad price at all. You'll be able to set yourself up for a little over two grand (mixer and headphones dependent), and the CDJs aren't going to need replacing any time in the near future.

Not exactly.. Imo, a quality mixer is more important than your CDJs, at least in terms of sound quality. I've never actually used an M2, but is there anything particularly wrong with it (lack of effects aside... )?
Nonetheless, I do stand by the quality of the 400s. For home use, I really do think that you get great value for money, and far better bang for buck than the majority of other units.

Yeah I'm looking to pick up some 400s as well.

$795 each @ jbhifi

or 2 X CDJ-400 + DJM-400 $2190 @ djwarehouse

That's the best I could find...

was fortunate enough to purchase 2 x cdj400's and a xone22 for $1,200 off gumtree..

wasnt able to find anything even remotely close to that, so i feel i nabbed a bargain!

i spent a few solid weeks reading reviews etc, and for what i was after, the 400's are perfect!! the USB functionality has a touch of delay etc when rewinding in vinyl mode and the effects aren't particularly amazing, but as an overall cdj they are very easy to adapt to and fantastic to use..

the USB functionality is very handy for quick mix's and grabbing tracks from the PC on the fly... midi controls havent been tested although coming from traktor previously, the lack of overwhelming visuals 'bussiness' is a postive step if one wants to dj using the 'fundementals'

even a few mates who have done the ol' 1000's and djm800 say that the 400's are perfect for a bedroom setup, as you require little technical skill if any to transition to the 1000's.

anyway as a reccomendation try find 400's that are being sold as a pair or with a non djm400 mixer, as the ovearl setup for a pioneer kit, even secondhand is quite expensive!
