save up and get some decent pa speakers, I use audioline 12's for smaller house parties. Bout $700 from jb hifi. I havent used the jaycar pa speakers yet, about the same price, but I use jaycar woofers in my custom built subs

For home use I would suggest heading down to a secondhand/cash convertors store and looking for an old 1980's amp and speaker combo- it will carry the bass and treble, give it warmth and shouldn't be too expensive. Stay away from 'flat' modern speaker- just can't carry the beats. But yeah, house parties I'd go for those monitors...

^^do you like not hearing your music clearly?

Just get a set of B021A Truths if you're going to spend that much...

Second hand if you cant afford new....

Aim for the best speaker you can get your for money, not the biggest.

Rokit gen 2 for sure for home use...

Very fairly priced & create a great clear sound...

Get the 8's if you like bass!
Get the 6's if you like a bit of bass but hearing acoustic's really clearly
Don't get 4's...

Don't fall into the trap of thinking you need HUGE amounts of wattage on your amp either. My old JVC amp is 30 RMS and it barely gets turned up beyond 4 and that's more than loud enough. Even when blasting a house party it only goes up to 6 max
