also, whats the best way to look for jobs? head there and apply in person, or go through a company, eg student flights.

first up, how good is your japanese?

because i doubt you're going to get a job in japan if you can't speak japanese.

secondly, best way to look for a job, no idea.

You dont need to know any japanese to get a job over there. there are alot of places that employ australians to deal with all of us over there. got heaps of mates over there at the moment working in hukuba.
Ive done seasons all around the world and only know english lodge / hotel work is best as you usually get lots of ride time.

Canada is easy to get working holiday visas, and the mountains are way sicker, its also a better party. just head over there before season (november) and ask around.

Have you considered Europe?

whatever anyone asks, you can do it, you have done it, you don't have any problems doing it in the future.

If you have any idea which resort you want to work at, check their website as some do interviews out here before the season.
Eg. Sunshine village in Banff.

I can see why you've been going all those years!

We hit up Happo- One and Iwatake.

I think next time we'll go for a bit longer, 3 days was just not enough.

Missing the snow & just Japan in general already can't wait to head back soon!

Just looked at their webcams now, looks so good! Is this normal for this time of year? To have snow as good as that?

just on my way back to melb after working since december in Tignes, amazing resort. dislocated my collarbone bailing off a rail though so season cut short by 6 weeks. oh well. getting surgery in a french hospital was an interesting experience. im still not 100% sure what they have done to it.

season in canada next year is looking like the way forward though.
