Monitor Calibration
Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend the best way to calibrate colour for a dual monitor setup without spending money on a Spyder or sim (I unfortunately don't know anyone who owns one either so borrowing one is out).

I have a Samsung BX2250 hooked up to my graphics card and a Samsung SA350 connected to my mobo (running this way so they're both going through HDMI rather than using hdmi>dvi adapter for monitor 2).

After hours of fiddling around the other week I managed to get the two monitors reasonably similar in terms of colour however managed to do something a few days ago and now they're way off again which is amazingly frustrating.

you will never get two different monitors to look the same. The cheaper they are the worse it gets too

honestly, stop being a tightarse and buy a spyder. You can get spyder3 express for $100 or less

if you're skint, try some of these http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-onlin...brate-monitor/

ive done the lagom one on a few monitors and it's not so bad.

just open a browser on each lcd with the same test and see how you go.

Have been referred to this one before and found it worked well (although nothing to compare it to):

People can do the work, so that machines have time to think.
