A question on protein powders, does pre mixing it 'denature' the protein? Or can I mix it in the morning then drink it in the afternoon for the same benefit as if I mixed it moments before drinking?

Nah you should be fine if you have it within a few hours but after that the denaturation rate increases exponentially

Looking for something to aid with liver function/decrease bloating and water retention. Just really got a random idea in my head last week that the weight I'm not losing in my trouble spots (tummy mostly) could be due to water rention (I've lost weight/toned up everywhere else mainly).

Dont want to take something that will act as a pure diuretic so I've picked up something called "Schuessler Tissue Salts: Water Eliminator" which is essentially sodium sulphate in a lactose base. Do you reckon this will help? Or can someone recommend a different course of action?

How do you know it's water retention? Losing water seems like a bad strategy to me unless you just did a creatine cycle.

I dont know, i just thought I would try the tablets and see - the shop assistant tried to get me to buy a full on detox kit which i'm sure would be worse...

I cant find any adverse side effects or info on the net so I'll just give it a go. If anything it just seems to improve liver function. Guess I'll see in a few days

Eat less processed foods for a week and see if anything changes. Water retention/bloating is usually due to your nutrition

You want to lose fat, not water. Chances are you'll just put the water weight back on once you start feeling permanently dehydrated and lethargic. You say it "could be" water weight but you don't actually know. If it's around the stomach, it's almost certainly abdominal fat. We've all got it and we're all trying to lose it, but it's generally not all water.

Have you ever smelt a container that hasnt been washed out properly after having protein in it? Its foul, bacteria grow so quickly in that environment. Mix then drink, wash out straight away, there is no way i would have protein in an aqueous solution longer than it needs to be.

I asked if the protein would still be effective if I mixed it in the morning and left it in my fridge all day till I got home in the afternoon post gym and drank it down straight away. That or left it in a cooler bag all day.

Thought I'd give this a bump, been trying to do some research but I think I've just been reading bro-science shit too much.

I'm doing 30g whey in the morning and straight after workout, 1 gram creatine light/off days, 2 gram creatine on heavy days.
What I'm unsure of is if I should be having a whey prior, too? Currently usually eat a banana or nuts before a workout for the fructose/carbs.

1 scoop of endura + a spoonful of electrolytes per litre gives a decent mix without too much carb action (and no sucrose)

Didn't realise but I'm not surprised. Yeah I have it during long workouts mixed with Con-Cret or atm Creature. Con-Cret pineapple mixed with watermelon is a pretty good flavour combo haha.
