Seoul Ria on George Street, Madang on Pitt St (it's in an alley, also the place next to it is good as well).

There's also some others in Eastwood and Strathfield, but you can't go wrong with the above.

Yeah it's more a 'try your luck' or rock up and a wait a few minutes - obviously depends on the time and day. For that Pitt St alley, you take a number and wait like the Yum Cha places - the last time I went to Madang was about 7pm on a Saturday and waited about 10 mins which wasn't too bad.

Also, if you're ordering samgyupsal, chase it down with soju; and if you're keen try out makkoli = get sweeter after every bowl (you drink it from a black bowl).

Up to you really. But maybe start with soju (especially if you're having samgyupsal - pork belly) - it's shots.

Or you can do both if you're brave - alcohol content is pretty high for both.

I loved Korea and how cheap the food was! It's hard to pay Perth prices so hardly go out for Korean food now but I love Korean BBQ ^-^

There's another one in Carlingford (where Ken's Charcaol BBQ used to be) that I went to the other night - all you can eat for $31.

They use gas to heat up the charcoal in this one.

Never eaten Korean, whats it like? I'm intrigued. Is it similar to any other asian cuisines?

Not really, there are lots of dishes that have equivalents, but on the whole it's a very different (but wonderful) experience.

I normally go to eastwood.... I love the little side dishes that accompany the meals with Korean food.

oh.. dude you're missing out. go to one tonight and report back.

Korean BBQ has to be in my top 3 preferred eating out options. It has to be charcoal and has to be decent quality.

I <3 kimchi... have tried to buy a few different brands in azn supermarkets but it's never as good

the carlo road one (from all reports) is pretty good. a few friends have been. Eastwood is also up there, I've been to the one opposite the station on the dark side of eastwood.

Eddie's in Melbourne. But that's alright - our av's are rook same.

It's fairly new, nothing different to the other Korean BBQ's other than it's all you can eat buffet style and you get wagyu beef as well. The samgyupsal/pork belly is slightly different (different cut?) - in strips and bit more fat on it but it's still good. They also have rice, pumpkin soup, seaweed soup, the staples (kimchi, cabbage and other veggies), kimbap/sushi, some seafood, and also shikhye and this cinnamon drink that's really sweet that I think is really for dessert.

We just went to that one cos it's new and slightly closer than Eastwood. For Monday night it was pretty busy. It's open 5pm - 10pm.

If you're hungry and want to smash some meat, for $31 you can't go wrong.

They use gas to heat up the charcoals. When you go to one of these places don't wear any nice clothes etc, you come out stinking and sweating meat.

Can't really drink booze and setup a gas bbq in the office now can I.

I want a Korean dinner now, I wonder if there are any good ones in Adelaide.
