Sasha and Digweed - Northern Exposure 2 for me, is the most amazing mix I have ever heard. Listen to it at least 2 - 3 times weekly.

So fluid, so flowing and so many classics all mixed in!

Link for that classic mix by James Lauer ??

I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

Getting Lauer mix now

Question: thought I may as well ask here as people are talking mix CD's

Apart from Henry Saiz Balance have there been any decent CD releases over the past two years in a progressive (ish) style?

I haven't seen anything in months and that's probably because they seem to have stopped releasing actual CD's - but there must be something I can download via I-tunes or whatever

Any ideas?
Never mind the bollocks

Nick warrens balance was pretty smooth. Even still enjoying dave seamans renaissance... DOnt think they are quite as epic as henrys but pretty nice prog still

Of the recent lot Henry's Balance is the clear winner, but I think Hernan's Renaissance (with the downtempo-ish first disc), Diggers' first Structures and Nick Warren's Balance are worth a listen. If you like something a bit more bouncy and melodic, the Anjunadeep mixes are always decent as well.

But yeah, it seems to be a bit thin on the ground at the moment, not that I'm actively looking.

Warren's Balance was nothing I'd give a second listen to.

Yeah, tis an epic build and drop for sure - they certainly don't make them like that any more. Also, Hydrogen Rockers - Musica is an absolute weapon, sounds just as great here as on that Lawler Tribal House covermount for Ministry.

Agree with a lot said here, my list:

Hernan Cattaneo - South America
Dave Seaman - GU016 Cape Town
Jimmy Van M - Bedrock
Kasey Taylor - Balance 002
Nick Warren & Danny Howells - Renaissance The Masters Series, Part 4 Revelation
Lemon8 - The Inner Sanctuary Sessions

Could have said James Holden - Balance 005, but that belongs under pixie trance
But if your life is such a big joke, why should I care?
