yeah happy to have any of Dugan, Hayne or Rapemeister Brett depending on fitness, form, and criminal conviction

not really interested in mateo. backrow should be Tamou, scott and Gallen at lock. I want to see Gallen at lock again, playing a bit wider than he has been.

Based on everything I've seen of all these players up to City v Country - My Blues:

1 Hayne
2 Morris
3 Morris
4 Jennings
5 Uate
6 Carney
7 Pearce
8 Mannah
9 Farah
10 Gallen

11 - 17 - Simms, Hoffman Tamou, Watmough, Lewis, Bird, Hinchcliffe,

Perfect mix of maturity, form, class and fire power. With G.Stewart and T-Rex possibly rotating in after some match fitness in SOO2.

Why the fark NSW trying to replicate a Langer-like fairy tale with Buderus and a Lockyer-like success story with Hayne converting from fullback to five-eight? Buderus hasn't been that all to great at all and Hayne hasn't even perfected a five-right role in club footy yet...

I will go for Pearce and Carney, and Farrah looked good combining with Pearce for City but Farrah has to really get on a roll in the next couple of weeks you have to pick him...

You would have to play Captain Gallen in the front row for NSW due to the lack of depth upfront and his been playing as a prop anyway for the Sharkies which is on a winning streak...hard to push him to lock with that! Sims should definitely occupy a bench role with NSW...animal...Woods I think should have to get another season under the belt before being seriously considered...

There are options up front. No point using your best player as a battering ram. He could cause damage playing wider and using the ball skills he has

Would be very happy with Brett Morris as fullback. Not because I'm a biased Dragons fan but because he has shown he has what it takes. Reliable under the high ball, strong runner, good defender and able to add a spark in attack.

We do? Funny that, Gallen played prop in the last two Origin games (first Origin game as prop was one of the best performances in Origin history), been playing prop at the Sharks where that coincides their best winning streak in years and he was chosen as a prop in the most recent Kangaroos game...look at the facts...of course we have options up front but they are not good options or worthy enough for Origin...coincidentally, we have a lot of options in the backrow which makes it more sense for Gallen to play up front.

that was Kane Evans.

Agreed, machine, same build as James Tamou, tall and powerful yet not overly bulky. The Roosters would want to sign him up long term.

Groat did better than he does in 1st grade, at least in defence, he was strong there. Didn't make huge amounts of metres per hit up either, which was disappointing. Overall it was a step up from the usual loldefence on display in the Toyota Cup.

He hasn't been playing prop at the sharks......not sure where you got that from. Just because he plays in the middle of the park doesn't mean he plays prop. Gallen is an excellent ball player.......when he played prop against Queensland, that side of his game was nullified because he was there to cart it up.

Who are the backrow options? We've discussed Luke Lewis, Ryan Hoffman meh, Glen Stewart hasn't played any footy in 7 weeks, James Tamou is a certainty, Watmough has been ok this year..........

Lewis, Bird, Watmough, Stewart, Hoffman, Scott are all options & have played origin before & performed Sims & T-Rex are coming through & one of them is likely to be picked
You heard it here first - Luck & RG3 are going to be duds.

What the is Stuart's problem with picking Hayne at FB?

On Triple M last night he was talking up Morris & even bloody Mini at FB again over Hayne.

How is this not our best spine available??
1. Hayne.
6. Carney
7. Pearce
9. Farah

i thought mannah put his hand up in CvC to be picked again for origin this year.

no one rates snowden? there's been no mention of him but i think he's been playing some good footy and seems to be over his injuries.

That is the best spine. On the news this morning there was speculation he's thinking of playing Hayne in the centres to cover Inglis. Spare me. I would have thought it was the typical push to fill column inches but after the City Country debacle I think anything could be possible.

Playing players out of position, another thing NSW loves to do to help QLD win.

I fucking hate everything about NSW origin at the moment

i rate him at NRL level, but he looked very slow last year in origin......just couldn't adapt to the pace of origin.

The backrow should be Bird, Gallen and Scott. All are proven at Origin level. Hoffman had 5 goes at origin and didn't set the world on fire. He may be a more mature player now but why take the chance?

Gallen will play prop.
The props havent really stepped up and you have a wealth of backrowers.

Its really amazing though that you talk about building a consistent team and here we are with a new 6/7, a new 9, who knows who the fuck sticky will throw in at 1. Wow.

I know, it fucking sucks. Same shit every year. We werent beaten by much last year... we dont need wholesale changes but nothing wrong with tweaking things slightly. Soward is out as he is way out of form, I'd keep Ennis. I'd also keep Gallen at prop and bring in Tamou and then fuck knows the other prop, Snowden/Douglas I guess?

I cant see the backrow changing much except for either TRex or Tariq on the bench. Gidley if fit will play as the utility as he's been great in the back end of both halves.

Fullback should be Hayne/Morris/Dugan/Stewart. Fuck Mini off, we have better players available, just pick whoever is the fittest.

Now injuries fuck us every year so whoever is fit and a decent defender to play in the centres. Wingers should be Uate and Hayne/Morris but fuck knows what he will do?

I think we can come up with the team to beat QLD this year, I just dont think Ricky is the bloke to get the job done.To me he is similar to Fitler, he's too much "one of the boys" to be a decent coach.

Picking Hoffman wouldn't be taking a chance, you know what you're getting from the stand out 2nd rower at the storm this season, for example:

http://www.nrl.com/Video/2012SmartRe...riod=2&time=12

Line break, offloads as he's getting tackled to put a player through, then backs up 80m to score the try.

hoffman was doing that back in 2007-8 too and then he did nothing in origin. That's what worries me.........i have feeling i know what hoffman will give in origin and it's not a lot.

Roosters v Dragons

Having the Roosters play the Dragons every Anzac Day is somehow fitting as we remember those who walked into endless machine gun fire on the Somme. Every fucking year we have to play these wankers on Anzac Day and every fucking year we get slaughtered. I can't remember our last win on this day. If you think this day is going to be any different you want fucking shooting. Dragons to win.

Storm v Warriors

There is a part of me that believes the Warriors are a chance of an upset here. The Storm have been on fire and the Warriors have been horrid and occasionally when that happens an upset is on the card. Oh by the way, the part of me that thinks the Warriors can win is also the part of me that hopes for Lotto wins and believes deep down that one day I'll get kidnapped by a truck load of supermodels and be forced to have sex with all of them.

well, what a game...by far the game of he year.

Weyman was unbelievable apart from the lose carry which gave up the ball for Anasta's try, but I thought that was a penalty

Nightingale deserves to be paid more, that bloke is just so consistent.

I guess NSW can get closer to sorting out the backrow with Beau Scott out of contention now, sounds like a 1-2 month injury.

and FUCK YOU channel nine, i bought a six pack and rushed home for nothing

Krisnan Inu, please die in a fire. Gutted by that, right in the game with 15 to go and two boneheaded Inu fuckups hand the Storm a flattering win. If Kevin Locke had stayed on the park, we'dve taken that.

He is only 24 and a prop so i would stick with him ( no bias).

on 2UE yesterday Dragon slut John Stanley was putting forward a good case for Norm Provan to be the next immortal

10 premierships
4 as captain coach
3 Clive Churchill medals

coached Cronulla to a draw in a grand final, the closest they've ever come (throw Bryce Gibbs into that team and they win IMO)
