I have been & all I can say is DON'T WORRY!!! I had accomodation booked but ended up not even staying there as it was a bit far out from the main centre.

Found a really cool place, just going to apartment to apartment & bargaining with the locals........there will be somewhere where you can stay for sure!

Have fun & try go on the boat cruises ie Hideout Croatia etc.

We went there in July last year and it was absolutely amazing. A bit of a bitch to get to, but totally worth it.
If you get yourself to Novalja (I think we caught a bus from Zadar), there are heaps of places to stay and theres a shuttle bus that runs from the centre of town every 15 minutesright to the Zrce beach where all the clubs are. It's a rowdy bus...
We stayed at the 'big yellow hostel' for next to nothing (http://www.bigyellowhostel.com/page/about-island). Were barely there - not much sleeping going on, but the location was good, had a bar and garden that was cool for socialising and overall pretty clean. Otherwise, there were signs all around the town advertising private rooms - having air-con is probably a good idea cause it was as hot as hell.
Definitely get there if you can! Bungy jumping over Axwell was a massive highlight...

Just went there for Hideout Festival.

We just booked a place at Stara Novalja on airBnB.co.uk it worked out a great and was cheap as chips.

Helps to go during Hideout because they run a bus service just during the event so getting about is much much easier.

I found accommodation for Hideout five days before the event, there weren't many places but most of the websites (collegium, novalja.com, tomitours) all had something to offer. I eventually went with novalja.com and it was pretty cheap too.

Most places are apartments with the landlord living in the same building so it is a bit hard to have kick-ons but we were hardly in the apartments so it didn't really matter.

Heading to Poland, Croatia & finishing in Serbia for EXIT Festival in July.

Can anyone give specific tips on traveling to & from Croatia?

We are looking to do Split & Hvar, then finishing off at Papaya club on Island of Pag.

Tips on getting between islands, cheapest & quickest ways would be great. Also, easiest & cheapest way of getting from Croatia>Serbia?

Croatia! Love the fucker..

I've spent time in Pag, Hvar, Vis, Pectracane, Tisno, Zadar, and Zagreb.

Flying is the quickest way to get from North to South. Though if between islands just use the ferries services they have.. Hvar is absolutely amazing, some of the most beautiful scenery in the entire world (especially the women)

Accommodation is sorted by getting off at your destination and old women with signs offering accommodation! It's pretty damn easy..

Festivals make sure you go to something a bit more boutique like Electric Elephant or Garden Festival both are amazing..

Food is tip top as well - make sure you eat lots of good seafood and pizza, go to the supermarkets and buy stuff to cook as well as it's all dirt cheap!

Ah the women.. I can't wait to be back in July for Suncebeat..

Enjoy!

So booking the remainder of our trip tomorrow, so so exited. Unfortunately, it's still 3 months away.

So we are starting in Poland for a couple of nights, going to hit up some clubs in Warsaw. Hopefully m15002 being one of them.

Croatia. Looking like we will start in Split, spend a few days there. Also going to check out Deep in Makarska. Soooooo looking forward to that club, hope they have a good lineup on a Wednesday or Thursday night.

Will be going to Pag for the weekend & probably Papaya Club on the Saturday night.

Getting a flight out of Split to Beograd on the Monday, where we will get ourselves set for EXIT.

Going to be such an epic trip.

I've just booked the Dubrovnik to Split sailing trip with Busabout - can't wait! Also looking at heading up to ZRCE Beach while we are there. How long would you all recommend staying at Pag Island? We have a week to fill between our Croatia and Turkey sailing trips so thinking a few days at Zrce and then maybe head over to Mykonos. Anyone done both the Greek Islands and Pag? How do they compare?

Get out on the water, the boat parties were awesome we also hired a boat on our recovery day after the festival and cruised around was an awesome day.

When there be sure to eat lots of lamb (you will see it on spit roasts everywhere) they are famous for it up there.

With the bus system you can stay pretty much anywhere nearby and still get to the festival easy enough, last year we were further away on a quiet beach (stara novalja) this time we are right in the middle of Novalja, either way you cant go wrong.

Prepare for sun, it was scorching last year and looks like it will repeat this year.

Thanks for any advice

We went to Split, Hvar & Makarska this year while in Croatia & would highly recommend doing it if you get the chance. Can't speak for Dubrovnik, but everybody tells me it's a great place to visit.

Also went to EXIT Festival in Serbia this year (I have family in Serbia which made it easier), visit Novi Sad..
