I don't mind some of his productions, but I found his CLR liveset to be very boring.

I'll check out his DJ set. DJing and production are chalk and cheese.

CLR Podcast 165 – Patrick Gräser

It is Monday the 23rd of April and we welcome a new guest on the CLR Podcast. The Berlin-based DJ/Producer Patrick Gräser has been on an intensive operation behind the mysterious 'ACR' project, also known as 'Answer Code Request'. September 2011 marked the beginning with the self-released debut "Subway Into" EP, which was shortly followed by the track "Escape Myself", featured on Marcel Dettmann's "Conducted" mix album. Earlier this year, Patrick Gräser a.k.a. Answer Code Request was on remix duty for Marcel Dettmann's "Landscape" EP, which was released on the renowned label 'Music Man'. This year Patrick's upcoming works will include an 'Answer Code Request' remix for the anticipated Skudge's imprint in May, a second EP for Answer Code Request in June, as well as a release on Marcel Dettmann´s exceptional label 'MDR'. His style has been quoted as, 'versatile and ambient techno' with an 'industrial flex on a synth melancholy and rugged'. We hope you enjoy Patrick Gräser´s exclusive studio mix featuring several of his original and previously unreleased productions. Obviously he would be great to see in action, which is why he was contacted. I get you're frustrated that it hasn't happened, and so am I, but that's no reason to have a go at someone for a tour not going ahead.

Upcoming Works:
5 Apr - Tessela + Kowton, Lounge
13-14 Apr - Pleasure Planet 24hr 1st Bday, Lounge
9 May - Capacity 300: Inigo Kennedy

lol have a go? Im saying it as it is. Many djs/acts are screwed over by dodgy promoters all the time, who PROMISE YET DON'T DELIVER. Shit-talkers.....now If something falls through in the first instance, it can always be re-arranged for a future event SO REALLY THERE IS NO EXCUSE! Promoters especially those with LOW FUNDS or basic shit-talkers shouldn't be making plans or contacting djs if they have no real intention of actually making it happen.

end rant

It is Monday the 7th of May and today we are presenting you a special Movement Detroit Podcast with Chuck Flask and Keith Kemp, back to back in the mix. We are very happy that they agreed and managed to record this exclusive set for us, especially knowing how much they must have on their minds right now. I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

We so need to get Liebing onto a mic when he plays on June 10.

Maybe someone could put to him that he could do a live CLR cast, Imagine how much gold he would come out with while munted/pissed.

CLR Podcast 168 - SCB

It is Monday the 14th of May and today we have a new guest on the CLR Podcast. Paul Rose is best known for his Scuba alias which has yielded three albums since 2008, the most recent of which, Personality, was released in February. He's also the head of the revered Hotflush label, which has covered a huge amount of musical ground, from proto-Dubstep (Benga, Distance) to abstract electronica (Mount Kimbie, Sepalcure) via house and techno (Joy Orbison, Sigha), since it's first release in 2003. Originally the SCB project was conceived as an antidote to the characteristic broken beats of the Scuba sound, as was shown on the first SCB release, a remix of Scuba's own Hard Boiled taken from the album A Mutual Antipathy in 2008. The next few years saw the projects begin to converge, and by 2011 the two had almost become the same thing, with the releases of Loss (as SCB) and Adrenalin (as Scuba) both featuring a dancefloor-centric melodic house vibe. With the release of the aforementioned Personality album the Scuba project has moved on to a different sound, and 2012 also heralds a new direction for SCB with a much more stripped-down, direct techno approach apparent in a recent remix for the Last Night On Earth label confirmed by forthcoming mixes for Echochord, Convex Industries and Hotflush (all featured on this podcast for CLR). New original SCB material is due later this year on Boddika's Non Plus label and also the continuation of the SCB release series. Bruno decided to whip out the 4 hour set - "CLR Podcast 116 - Collabs (Speedy J & Chris Liebing @ Electric Deluxe Presents, Queensnight) - Long - Part 1 - 16.05.2011" as per your request in the Melbourne thread. Glad I got hold of the whole 4 hours when it came out.

Don't think I listened to it very closely when I first played it. But now, far out, one of the best sets I have from Liebing for sure. Proper proper techno from collabs. I'm gonna replay these 4 hours over and over again in the lead up to Liebing's visit to our country.

I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

Add Speedy J's Pannik in there at 56 minutes of part 2. It is when the track finally drops, just note that it is also the static/industrial crackling that slowly rises to prominances for the two or three minutes before the 56 min mark.

It is good to see a set with the Primate originals. They were almost the fogotten tunes of last year. The Sigha, Hood and Maybe Liebing remixes aside I think the originals are better in every case.
My mixes:

CLR Podcast 169 - Collabs

It is Monday the 21st of May and we have two of the most respected Techno artists of our time on this week´s CLR Podcast. Today Chris Liebing and Speedy J are presenting us two hours out of a recent five hours Collabs set at the Lehmann Club in Stuttgart. Originally they were supposed to play separate solo sets, but as it has happened several times before, they soon ended up playing together, spontaneously teaming up for one of their recently rare Collabs sets. None of them needs any further introduction as they have been writing Techno history for many years by now – both individually as solo artists and together as Collabs. If you would like to see Collabs live, you can do this on the upcoming Official Movement Afterparty on May 26th in Detroit, which will be hosted by CLR. And if you would like to know more about Collabs, Chris Liebing and Speedy J, please visit the websites mentioned below:

^ Imagine going to a party where Liebing and Speedy J were to play solo sets, only for them spontaneously to play a collabs set. Would be awesome

I think it is a slick bit of work by the promoter.

It is probably cheaper to book them separately (and as if they are not going to play together if they appear at the same club).

I mean Liebing loves saying the word "spontaneous".

Which one of these tracks is at 9mins? I assumed the second but none of them have a vocal?
...what does that even mean?!
