It was so worth every bit of the ear ringing right?

I dare anyone to listen to the live version of Impact on the bonus disc of the new album and not purchase a ticket for this show immediately - 19-plus minutes of acid/prog/tech perfection which borders on a spiritual experience.

Saw them last week in Amsterdam (first time they've been back here since reforming), and it was incredible - from the pics I've seen of the last Australian shows, they've revamped the light show (which is amazing), and the new material tends to stand up pretty well alongside the classics (though the dubstep bits feels a little gimmicky). Re. sound, I'm sure it depends on the venue to some extent, but the comparison between the DJ supports was night and day - I had my earplugs shoved in for the DJs, but was happily able to live without them for Orbital's set, even though I could see from the dB monitor at the mixing desk that they were actually a little louder...

I'd recommend 'em!

Wow, what an epic, epic night. The sound and lights were spot on, and the show was insanely good. Really glad I got to see this after missing the Family gig, and would go again in a second. A really good mix between old stuff (chime and Belfast - ) and tracks from Wonky (Beelzedub got taken to a WHOLE new level - amaze). I don't think I've danced that much in ages. Absolutely top night.
shame your mind doesn't shine like your possessions do

Having not been to the Family gig I can't compare but last night was special. Almost 2 hrs of non-stop goodness. No Lush or Satan was a little bit disappointing but the rest of the tunes definitely made up for it. Beelzedub turned out to be surprisingly good as noted above. Definitely in my top 5.
