Good minimal techno nights in melbourne......?
Hi all,

Bit of a multi layered thread here for my first one......

First of all, there's been similar threads before like this I notice but thought I'd add my own. I moved over from the UK about 4 years ago and haven't met anybody into electronic music! So apart from going to nights out on my own which can be hit and miss is there any other peeps out there in a similar situation who fancy a night out together?

I like techno, minimal stuff particuarly from Cologne and Berlin at the moment so the other part of the thread is does anyone know good nights out in Melbourne playing this sort of stuff?

Cheers for any help.

Dan

Machine @ My Aeon (last Sat every Month) will throw a bit of minimal, maximal, deep, driving, heavy, funky techno into the mix for you.

some good suggestions already.

Easy enough to work out what's out there by
A) reading the forums and looking at the promo threads, and
B) checking the what's on section for the state.

i've found exploring beyond just a particular genre can at times be rewarding.

Pete Gordon - Deep and Low

Slower tempo but still with balls, deephouse, slow-mo, futurehouse, nudeep, indie, nudisco, hints of progressive, whatever the fuck you want to call it, just good shit! Get on it

Lab not Lab22. Quite a sizable difference.

Not Optional
I can attest to the Machine being more bangin than an air cooled 911 Carrera foot to the floor on the autobahn @ 250km/hr. Great night last night, really crazy cool crowd, great bar staff, but most importantly the music is wunderbar. Got there around 1am, but caught a journeyman set from DeeDee, had a couple of those blissed out perfect knob tweaked moments, + Simon Slieker was fuggin good, with a 3hr monster set traversing some alien landscapes. Also, I've never seen lasers do what they did last night, totally amazing effect that captured thetheme of the nite beautifully.

With guys like Dave Pham, Simon Slieker, Matt Radovich, Robert Anthony, Simon Murphy, Flip3k and yours truly, I think there'll be some techno in there somewhere

Just to confirm. Robert Anthony will be playing "TECHNO" at Drumatix. There will be no hardstyle of any kind, as Drumatix is a techno, minimal and tech-house event. For the the moment you can find out more about "Drumatix - June 15th" on the "Whats On" Section.
