all i can say is all the effort was so worth it when it turned out to be a party so many people enjoyed.

Massive thank you to everyone who made it work, especially Pete Smith from the Met, And Dan from Lemon & Lime to sort out the monitor sound issue early on.

Everyone who helped promoting the show, Rich, Cosmo, Scott, the Met and barsoma staff, thumbs up!

wasnt the easiest show to pull off but we did it brisbane.

He was out here recently for Creamfields or some other shitty festival but he belongs in a club.

That was worth the 6year wait! Way too many factors to list but all dropped into place perfectly for what ended up as a really good party... Digweed hasn't lost his touch and after playing 3 gigs interstate prior to ours, he still delivered 3 hours of amazing and upfront music. Super pleased with everyone's response to the choice of venue and even though it was a sunday night there was still plenty of people buying tickets on the door.

Tai and Tulio managed to fire the room up early-on and Malcolm reminded us of the potential largeness that was coming our way by slamming a few big numbers into his set. Cosmo pulled a genius and inspired extended warmup set out of his many years' experience making sure the crowd didn't boil over too soon but had just enough steam coming out of their ears to let loose 2 hours later when John arrived, looming over the DJ booth (he's quite a large bloke!).

Huge thanks to everyone who attended, most of whom were still shaping up for a dusty morning at work the next day. Was a treat co-promoting with Auditree and the Met, big thanks Dan Burke and Lightsounds for the last minute sound gear... and to Pete and Eric for the frantic assistance throughout the event - not too many venues around town are able to be so "on point" when it matters most!

Anyone keen to relive some of Digweed's set from this event, check out the new release on Bedrock called "John Digweed Live in Cordoba"... it's a 3-cd pack with the first 2 cds taking in around 2.5 hours from John's massive 5 hour gig in Cordoba, recorded a few weeks prior to his visit to Aus. Alot of this material was still in his set when he played here, brings back some memories!
