It used to be amazing, especially in the late 90's/early 00's. Especially the era where prog and trance came together. Some of the best trance/prog tracks ever came out around that time. It was a good time to be out partying that's for sure! Then it all started sounding same same and we ended up with what we have now - pure shit labeled as trance.

If you like the old Gatecrasher sound I highly recommend you get onto some of the earlier Renaissance albums as well. Renaissance Desire - mixed by Dave Seaman is an absolute cracker, and there's also a Nigel Dawson/Anthony Pappa Renaissance which I still thrash the hell out of. Also have a look at the earlier Balance albums. Jame Holden's is amazing.
I'm making love to the music man. And believe me, I can go all night...

The main man who was running the Gatecrasher events around town lately is living large overseas at the moment so it may be a while before it's back; if it's back at all...

Red and Black were both awesome and have massive tunes on them that capture that moment in time but Wet still holds strong as an awesome double.

Gatecrasher Summer Sound System ftw - the two days of party were good but the party in between at The Goods Shed was EPIC.

I remember when I was like 15 and going to check out the latest Gatecrasher cd at JB Hi-Fi in the city and this guy is like "nah mate check this [Wetmusik cd] out". Best thing that's ever happened to me.

Gatecrasher was amazing - I chose Sheffield uni in the UK back in 2000 on the basis of how good crasher was.

Futuremusic has some really good trance djs playing - Jon o Callaghan and Gareth Emery, and even PVD himself, although I fear he has gone the way of Armin van boring...

BEst crasher cds were Wet, discotech and resident transmission - listen to the matt hardwick cd - one hour of pure bliss!

Those two CD's take me back. Both classics.

Funny someone should mention Wetmusik - was going through some old CD's the other week and came across Simon Coyle at Pure Flow Gets Wet. It's all about the train intro!
But if your life is such a big joke, why should I care?
