a bit of a 'short' set but Mount Kimbie were nice,
playing 'live' versions of their tracks.
never seen the place so rammed with people.

anyone know their last track that was played?
these words fill this space

yeah they got on around 11ish...they did play for around 50 minutes so it was ok.

only caught the last 2 songs of Seekae's set....was so gutted i missed em.

None the less this was probably one of the best live performances ive seen (in electronic music) and probably one of the weirdest nights ive had in the city.

Also struggled to get in as my name wasnt on the purchased ticket list.....had to find a internet cafe and print evidence that i had bought the ticket (even though i had the invoice with me).

seekae were better. totally impressed by their new stuff.

mount kimbie played some cool reworks. last song was odd, they cut it off after building but before dropping the original climax of the track, thouhgt that was odd.

pretty nice night.

way too rammed. and hot.

Weren't Seekae awesome? I almost think they were better too. White Town - 'Your Woman'!

Mount Kimbie were fantastic too. Way too hot.

Awesome night.

Mayor, i think. I felt like they had this reworked build of it going for quite a while, and felt like they should have busted out a huge, bassy, glitched out version of the 'chorus' part

It sounded nothing like Mayor to me. I thought it was an homage to Rhythim Is Rhythim!

The 2nd last track was bouncy techno as well.

the girl at the desk was gunna let us in when i showed her the invoice; then the guy that was with her started raising his voice at me saying "if you can print the invoice then you could of printed the ticket"....i explained to him that my entry method was check name at the door and he just replied "too bad mate"....was almost about to lose it until one of my friends just came with up with the idea for the internet cafe.

anyway i did not spot one track they played; i loved that track with the weird african beat...was magical

Last tune was definitely Mayor. Version of Maybes at the end was wonderful... Loved their reinterpretations of structure, meter, mix and melody. 'Live' electronica artists take note!
