insurance offered with flights
Im booking a flight to cambodia at the moment and each of the legs of the trip I am booking (melbs > KL then KL>Phnom Penh) is offering me insurance with the flight. Im already getting travel insurance separately, is there any need to get the insurance offered with the flight?

Not if it costs extra. Your insurance covers you between the dates you've designated.

Airlines usually include that for extra business...its more for the lazy/busy people that has no time to find and buy travel insurance separately so they just take the airline's choice for convenience.

if it's double coverage there's no point though.

additionally check to see if your proper travel insurance covers flights for the trip booked BEFORE you buy the travel insurance. I have heard war stories of people putting in legitimate claims only to be rejected due to flights booked before the insurance.
