Sounds excellent.

I gotta tell people...keep listening to Structure. Every time I listen to it, another track grabs me by the balls.

10. Living The Dream might just be the best track I've heard. As can be the case with tunes at the end of an album I've not paid too much attention to it in the past but it really is quite a spectacular piece of music. .

I think that in 10 years time he will be held in a similar regard to Carl Craig. The guy is a genuine musician and genius.

Does he sell his UQ merchandise as well as DJ?

When he was out here in 2010 he was hitting the mic, talking up house music (and appropriately bagging rap) and then flogging UQ merchandise. It was gold.

New York based , DJ , Label Co-Owner and Party Promoter , Anthony Parasole has put together a mix for us all to enjoy. bringing to the fore a tougher and more techno oriented sound . Anthony is closely associated with Jus Ed's Underground Quality over in New York & co runs " The Club House " loft parties in Brooklyn with Jus Ed .
Anthony also co owns the excellent Deconstruct label alongside Levon Vincent .

The Autumn/ winter period will be a busy period for Anthony & will also bring his production skills to the fore , with releases forthcoming then , on Marcel Dettmann's MDR label , an ep on Deconstruct as well as a track on the wonderful Earthtones series on Fred P's Sole People Music label . Enjoy !!:-)

I've had a quick flick through and it sound sweet.

Good news that he has even more releases in the pipeline than initially anticipated but they seem to be overdue (unless Uzuri is a southern hemisphere podcast).

Levon Vincent Fabric tracklist:

Tracklist:

01. Joey Anderson - Earth Calls
02. DJ Jus-Ed - Blaze (Do Dah Dab Mix)
03. JM De Frias - Intrinsic Motivation
04. Levon Vincent - Stereo Systems
05. Levon Vincent - Polar Bear
06. DJ QU - Times Like This
07. Levon Vincent - Fear
08. Levon Vincent - Double-Jointed Sex Freak II
09. Joey Anderson - Hydrine
10. Anthony Parasole - Tyson
11. Levon Vincent - The End
12. Black Jazz Consortium - Blacklight
13. Levon Vincent - Early Reflections
14. Levon Vincent - Rainstorm II
15. Black Jazz Consortium - Far Away

...and a part of an interview that I particularly enjoyed:

Quote:

It's interesting how important it was for you to include your friends on the mix.

Well, it wasn't like "oh let me hook up my friends," it was really like, "what else am I gonna do?" We all might be reaching farther and getting more success, but there's a group of us that all have this particular style, this sound, so who else would I have gone to? You know, I could have mixed faster, put in more tracks, thrown a few from the '80s songs in there, maybe some Murk records, but there's one modern sound we have that's not looking backwards, that kind of deep tech, and of course that's my base.

You should have included that Murk track Levon

Levon will continue Melbourne's rapidly growing obsession with those that are part of the UQ crew (started by Fred P). Although I consider them equal (but in different ways) I actually think that Levon's sound will reonsate with Melbourne even more than Fred P's.

The deep house, dubby/dark tech and general moody feel in his music gives him alomst automatic appeal to the proggy/Dark Beat types through to the house heads.

Levon Vincent - No Regrets

Love this..

Quote:

I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

That Parasole set is great.

I had a look for a tracklist by couldn't find one.

I can tell anyone who is interested that the first track is David Alvarado - La Soledad [Historia y Violencia] (only available at zero-inch or on wax).

And yes baax, Levon's fabric is sublime.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better collective of DJ and production talent than these "NYC" guys.

^ Exactly what I thought mate when I first heard who had the booking. From the recent article on Racket I found this particular quote interesting, and perhaps relevant to your post -

" Knowing how to pick ‘em is something the Racketeers take seriously. I ask Simon if there are any names on the Mad Racket wish-list. “There are a few, but if I tell you then someone might try and do them instead of us,” he says. “It’s a bit cut-throat out there at times, with certain unnamed people becoming interested in artists only after someone else is trying to work with them. It’s not nice. Enough said, I am sure they know who they are.” "

Quote:
