Tbh if history weren't that shit, he'd be great for them I'd imagine as gerrard plays less and less.
You wouldn't go to city.
I think united need different players in mid. Ie modric? Maybe they're getting hazard anyway.
Spurs have vdv.
We need someone with rosicky as I see ros as a great second choice.

Fck Japan will smoke Aust in the coming years.

If Modric leaves, Man United is almost a sure bet and he would kill it there. All depends on their CL qualification though. If they don't make it because Chelsea wins, there goes Bale too.

Kagawa is all class and would kill it at Utd - not like Fergie's ever limited his teams to 442...

Yeah but they might offload a couple as well ( Tevez? Balotelli? Dzeko? Adebayor?)

Say NUFC to get Douglas Tiexeira and the Erik Pieters move finally happens.

Pieters at LB, Douglas and Collocini at CB and Santon at RB

Strong defence would be strong.

They can't. Nobody will take them because of the ridiculous wages they're getting

Must admit that it'd be nice for them to have troubles getting rid of players because of wages.

Robin van Persie has indicated that he has no intention of signing his proposed new contract at Arsenal in the immediate future as he waits to see which of his suitors will make official offers for him.

Manchester City and Juventus are prominent among that group and sources at each club say their information is that Van Persie will not agree to fresh terms at the Emirates Stadium under any circumstances, increasing the likelihood of his departure this summer

I'm more intrigued about the rumours that United want him

Personally I can't see us signing him. There has been loads of smoke about us signing Fernando Llorente (who has a 28m release clause) to replace the departing Dzeko. I don't even think that Ibra is on the cards either unless either Balotelli or Tevez goes, neither of which I see happening at the moment.

Exactly. City need to shift these guys, which will be fckn hard before signing anyone.

I am not getting my hopes up about any of these rumours ( though Kagawa looks like a strong possibility).

RVP at Utd? Whaa?

That would provide for some epic trolling in this thread next year .

Think there might be a chance Suarez would want out? Based on the season Liverpool had, no CL football for next season...

A month ago, when a did the French radio interview, someone asked him if we wanted to play in Ligue 1 "one day" and he diplomatically said yes. The next day the British papers were full of "Suarez to PSG" stories when the quote was taken out of context.

Yesterday he was doing a live public chat via Twitter for Marca (sports rag in Spain), and someone asked him if he would like to play in La Liga "one day". Diplomatically he said yes. I now notice the transfer gossip rags are all running "Suarez wants out of Liverpool to play in Spain" type stories today.

Fuck me the British press are predictable

You couldn't have found a better example about the British press

Further to add, everyone including Suarez knew in well advanced that we won't be qualifying CL this season and fortunately, the next best thing is Europa which is a certainty...Suarez has reiterated he is happy at Pool despite all this including the Evra saga...so now, it is critical to appoint a manager and new players that will keep him happy for the long haul as you know players can quickly change their minds if there's no progress at their current club...

Even if he does go, I would think he would be entitled to a bit more respect from the Arsenal fans. Nasri has acted like a brat since leaving Arsenal and hasn't exactly endeared himself to city fans yet. RvP didn't jump ship and was the outstanding performer in an otherwise solid team. It isn't exaclty lose lose from an Arsenal perspective if he does go, he would attract a big fee - especially if city are in.

Nope.

He has come out and said that he wants to stay here for another few years(conditional on league placing). Has said many times that th support he has been shown has been fantastic and is happy here.

Of course that could change at the end of the next season if we are languishing at mid table.

1 decent finisher and goal scoring does not become an issue. Should be an interesting transfer window.

If he went to City I'd have absolutely no respect for him. In fact if we offer him a sign-on of £5m + £150-160k p/wk, if he leaves he can go and get fucked. This is his only full season in the last 4-5 years, if he refused an offer like that after the club stood by him, showed him loyalty, I'd have no respect for the dude regardless of what nice things he might say about the club.

Ive heard RVP want to stay but just want a few big signings guaranteed to show the club is serious about winning trophies. Cant blame him too much for that IMO. I understand what your saying with regards to injuries but while still contributing in parts, this year managed to take the Arse into third place and how old is he now? 28? Not years and years left to win things....

i'd have to agree Geez.

But i honestly can't see him going, but wanting to put pressure on club to spend some money like all of us want to.
a podolski, m'vila, kagawa type summer along with keeping current playing squad will defo have us competing for title next season.

@hdb2: As Hipswinger said he's no certainty to stay fit. The club will be in a much better position to sign players if he re-signs, as well as off-loading some dead-weight. If we aren't challenging next year, and he has another quality season yet expresses a wish to leave then I'm sure Wenger won't make him fulfill the remaining contract years.

@Hipswinger: I think he'll stay but Wenger needs to off-load the scabby-sores from the squad and guarantee, at least 2 more absolute quality signings. Which is, as I said, easier to do if RvP agrees to stay.
