Those books look pretty good, been meaning to get myself a 'what fish is that' book at sometime. One of the guys in my club has this, the moment you ask about a fish after a dive, he reaches into his boot and pulls it out for you to find it

Yeah, I'm hooked on book buying atm, been meaning to get a fish ID guide as well. When I dive I'd like to buy something from the souvenir shop, they had information books available when I did HMAS Brisbane but they were like $20 each and about 10 pages long, and the photos were about 10 years old before the ship was covered in coral.... Fuck that

I'm a bit of a Hollis/Oceanic slut, I've got a Hollis M1 mask and F1 fins, both top quality bits of kit, the fins especially.

Don't worry, those Aqualungs are solid. I still own my first Aqualung mask too, great bit of gear. One thing I'd reccomend with the fins is to get some sprin g straps for them- once you start using the springs you'll never go back to using rubber straps. One thing I like about the F1s is they come standard with them.

There's 2 or 3 different types of strap mountings, best to check with whoever you buy them off that they're right for your fins.

Yeah good fins make all the difference, I remember when I switched to my Oceanic V8s (a good fairly cheap fin), and then my F1s after some wanker stole the V8s.

a whole Wagyu beef (MBS 5-6) tenderloin 2.9kg ($62/kg) >.<

but worth it!

Rated to -5, wasnt sure if I needed to go to -10 as I'm not going to be camping in the snow so I think it should be fine for what I need it for.

Good move, I used to have a -10 rated bag and it was actually a pain unless it was cold. Great camping on chilly nights though when it got down to low single digits.

A cigarette tin actually is my wallet atm - bought at a tabac in the North of France for 7 Euros. I nearly cried like a girl when last week I thought I lost my wallet. So much memory attached to it.

Bought some really nice earrings on the weekend. going to have to photograph them. So far I've had 3 compliments and they cost me jack all.
