Chiptune has always been around, under different names, but that scene has been pretty interesting for years. Just not very popular.

I wrote a facebook comment along the lines of 'is drumstep a made up genre?' after seeing it mentioned a few times.

I've heard of most of the genres on the list and have a decent amount of drumstep, moombahton, complextro and surprisingly chiptune tracks on my hard drive. I'm just a little surprised moombahton is still considered a 'genre on the rise'.
