I've been listening to Eelke Kleijn - Lost & Confused (Applescal Mix) a fair bit lately. It was released in '08, but seems a bit reminiscent of an older prog sound to me.

I actually bought some prog off Meatport for the first time in yonks...had been gravitating to tech-house/deep-house and funk/breaks more than anything...was pleasently surprised with what was on offer...listed all prog track releases for last 7 days and ended up with 15 tracks after going through 2 pages (100 tracks per page...7.5% hit rate, not bad really!)

John Dahlbeck and Made For Monkeys tracks just older ones I'd been wanting for a while, the rest all released last week...and if you've got a hankering for some big fucking room, slightly cheesy, slightly trancey tracks, check some of them out, there's some fucking bombs in there...nothing subtle, just big, driving, melodic beasts!
Pete Gordon - Who Said Prog Was Dead?

My favourite slices of proggy goodness from 2013 (ish)...

His mixes from around 04-05 are awesome too, used to be one of my fave artists but seems he's unfortunately gone the way of shit same samey tech house.

When I saw him at WLS was probably the last prog I heard from him again.

You really really have to listen to Wherever I Lay My Head. I've been loving The Clearing recently myself, I didn't realise it'd been floating around for so long (it was only released last year).

He also did a release on Bedrock - To Hume - the B-side Yarra Valley is excellent.

Dude's been blowing my mind, and the farther back in his list of productions I go, the more I find. I just wish he had a Facebook/Twitter/something-I-could-follow.

After having seen Guy J recently, it's something I was pondering the other day: do DJs get tired of playing the "same" music? A pleb like me could just listen to something else if they felt like it, but what if you were expected to play similar music all the time? Personally, over the last two years my tastes have changed radically: I used to be a McTrance(TM) fan, but these days I'm on a deep house/minimal techno tip (I didn't even realise that what I was listening to was "minimal" techno); I guess what I'm saying is that it is quite easy to see your tastes as being a continuous journey, when in fact there are "stages", and as a DJ it's probably easier to "burn out" (with regard to a specific genre).

I've been getting back into playing on my decks (and buying records! :S) Funny how some time away can give you a fresh perspective. A few tunes I rediscovered:

Mainline - Narcotic
Frontside - Dammerung (Twilight Mix)
Orbital - 3.2 (Underworld Remix)
Hawke - Stationary Tornado (Glass And Lawn Furniture Mix)
Slide vs Healey - Fear (Sensé & Catt's Twisted Casa Mix)
Revolt - Moonlit Room (Drumland Mix)
Pappa & Gilbey - Twisted (DOOOSH! <3)
White Room - Strapped
Luminance - Grace (White Room @ Bedrock Mix)
Teimoso feat Shelley - Riding

I've been on a techno trip for sometime now, but I'm having something of a prog renaissance, artists like Hawke, Brancaccio & Aisher, Rui da Silva, Main Element, and old labels like Automatic, Fire, (old) Bedrock, the odd Hooj. What fun!

Hey proggers,

I tried this in the Electronica/Dubstep/? thread but it seems to be pretty dead around there so maybe you guys can help?

I'm trying to work out an artist I heard on FBi the other day. I'm pretty sure it would fall in the 'electronica' category... anyway it's something like 'Holly' but I can't seem to find it anywhere. They even went as far as to give a bandcamp address saying something like hollymade.bandcamp but again, I can't seem to find it anywhere.

It was an aussie artist... Does anyone have any idea? Plz help!
