working in ibiza 2012
so me and my bestie are getting our dual passports (italian) to go work in ibiza. i've been reading heaps of forums, i know all about the NIE number and the competition and also the accommodations. but i need to know, will i get hired if i have a 3/4 sleeve of ink. i'm a 22 year old perth girl, i have a massive amount of hospitality experience, getting a job has never been an issue, but will my ink set me back in ibiza?

I highly doubt it. That is the last thing that anyone would care about in Ibiza. It's a party island, nobody would care.

I'm interested though to know how hard it would be to get a job in Ibiza. There are so many british people working there I reckob it would be hard as a lot would want too. Probably the easiest would be to hand out flyers for the clubs, those people seem to be everywhere.

absolutely not.
ibiza doesn't judge on these sorts of things.
you wil have no issue.

i would recommend getting there no later than april.
you will struggle to find decent work if you get there too late.

I'd love to do a season in Ibiza...

I should stop talking about it and just do it really haha.
I got the passport, NIE etc...

hmmmmm

If only Spain wasn't in recession, surely that affects the pay?

You wouldn't think so. Given that 90% of jobs in Ibiza over summer a tourist driven... and most tourists there aren't from Spain.

True, maybe I'll look into it for next year. Could be nice to get away.

Good luck! I have lived in Spain and Ibiza on and off for years. With the recession and 27% unemployment lots of Spaniards are going over there to try for work. Plus the wages are very low. You are looking at around 750 to 800 euros a month.
