you could always do raw+jpg so if there are any you need to hax then you have the raw there
learn something new every day. always thought if it hadn’t been exposed enough then theres just no light lighting the lines of the subject so it just “disappears”. Very cool to see how much can be salvaged

Nope lol never had the need and extremely rarely get asked to shoot at that res (tho I did have to for red bull last week but I wasn’t doing the editing so I didn’t care :p) . To me its for editing and salvaging, two things which I don’t do much of. im just not that great at editing and what I do do *snicker* it isn’t extensive and the less time spent editing the better imo. I try to get as close to the finished product in camera as I can. ive said it before, I much rather spend 30min setting the shot up better or whatever than an extra 15min in post. Prolly cos of this, my way of working is- taing of my shot as i see it and not how I can fix/change it later.
also if im moving, i dial in a setting before i move, i dont just walk outside with iso 1600 :p if its unfamiliar territory, it only takes a second to pop a test shot

I don’t think ive ever used d lighting! I never really worry about particular settings specially of anyone else, as long as the photo comes out good thats all that matters, but this is really interesting to see how ppl work or more so what theyve "grown up with"
Back on track tho, hemi – that first one is off the chain! Love the light and colour

even cooler they let you throw your strobes round the place, not always an easy task either! the other thing is missing the walk down the aisle shot, I can never decide whether to go with that or try something else. well actually I can, I go with the safe bet so I don’t get yelled at lol ):
ps. nis - im trying to understand this raw processing better, in your harbour shot, im guessing the ppl were cut out and adjusted as a seperate layer? if so any tips on saving time doing that? manually lassooing stuff is one of my biggest peeves in post.
