Check Liebings latest chart for an idea of what he's digging at the moment: http://www.beatport.com/chart/chris-...ce-chart/74982

Includes tunes from Basic Channel, Regis, Octave One and many more. Tickets are moving, I've still got some but not that many, get at me if you want some cheap ticket love. Northside preferable (Brunswick, Fitzroy etc) but can meet in the city as well.

It is Monday the 21st of May and we have two of the most respected Techno artists of our time on this week´s CLR Podcast. Today Chris Liebing and Speedy J are presenting us two hours out of a recent five hours Collabs set at the Lehmann Club in Stuttgart. Originally they were supposed to play separate solo sets, but as it has happened several times before, they soon ended up playing together, spontaneously teaming up for one of their recently rare Collabs sets. None of them needs any further introduction as they have been writing Techno history for many years by now – both individually as solo artists and together as Collabs. If you would like to see Collabs live, you can do this on the upcoming Official Movement Afterparty on May 26th in Detroit, which will be hosted by CLR. Sound System......?
I was just thinking back to "An evening with Derrick May" and remember how there were only 12 posts before the party

and then numerous Posts after the party complaining about the dismall sound system used on the night, with
Derrick May himself turning the music down and apoligisng too the crowd over the sound system, stating he is trying his hardest
with equipment provided. Later turning the Monitors out too the crowd,

Please (promoters) tell me and the other punters that there will be a better, louder, crisp and
unreal sound system too provide us with the Bass driven Techno we have all been yearning for.
Which Chris Liebing will deliver...

This guy deserves a great system as does anyone, I have been to many gigs werea Funktion 1 has been bought in
too add to the in house sysem and they sound fucken fantastic.....

I want too know this before I go and buy a ticket, because seeing someone play on a rubbish system is the worst..

and you might as well stay home........

that's my rant,

Cant wait to see him again his CLR sets have been off the planet......

See yaz there Decipal, Mike Hunt, deep Audio etc....

Hanzee over and out...

Hi Hanz,

The system that was used for Derrick May will be different to the system we will using for Chris Liebing. As Darius said in this post, the responsibility falls on each individual promoter to ensure the best sound, and I can guarantee that it will sound amazing. This is a gig I have personally been looking forward to for a long time, like so many other punters out there Liebing has been a massive influence on me and this is one gig that I think we all want to get right. If you have a look through the Electric Owl thread you'll see that the last couple of pages have people talking about the amazing sound system, and I don't think there are any complaints. This shows that it can be done, and I hope you believe me when I say that it will be done for Liebing.

If you have any more concerns or questions, please feel free to post them here or email me directly at thepublicworksdepartment at gmail dot com and I'll do my best to sort it out for you

Sound is obviously the most important piece of the puzzle and It's cool to see a promoter put it on the line and commit to doing it right. I'm picking up a ticket this weekend for sure.

You know what, I am thinking that the best moment of this thing could be if Herr Liebing dropped a bit of melancholy at the end of it all.

Media Player

This is part of two remixes that he released after main/original remix (not on CLR and not on youtub). It isn't quite as good but I think you get the point.

We're just finalising set times now, have had to shuffle a couple of things around. Soon as it's sorted I'll chuck them up here.

In the meantime, here's the first When The Smoke Clears resident DJ chart:

Might give you an idea of what we'll be playing.

Pre drinking at 10am is doable and although I'm sure Chris will tailor his sound to match the crowd/vibe, it's going to be interesting seeing the man step up to the controls at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon.

Either way, super pumped to be flying down from Sydney for this.

Giddy up.

There were numerous options including the sunday night. Its always interesting to try new & exciting things and its always great to see the concepts supported.

The doors are at 1pm and Chris will be on around 2pm, give or take a little bit of time.
