23 year old house DJ from London, signed to Fat Boy Slim's - Southern Fried Records.

Im coming over to Australia early 2013 with the intent of moving over permanently afterwards. So Im looking at sorting some shows out there with the possibility of residencies in the future. Ive played all over the UK, at many of the renowned clubs...Also at festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Outlook, Secret Garden Party and more. Ive also played in many other countries such as Thailand, Barbados, France, Croatia, Germany.

no luck with the sydney forum mate? probably better off trying melbourne than brisbane with your style to be honest

Youtubed your stuff and agree with jamesyo, try Melbourne forums.

Had luck with Sydney, just decided to travel around Oz a bit first, before deciding where to move to. Im a big beach fan so Queensland seems the place to be...but like youve both said i dont think Brisbane/Southport etc have much of a music scene going on.

There is a scene here but it's small, there won't be any residencies really for you unless you want to do the cheese/commercial route. Get in touch if you do come to town though, would be happy to show you around and what not!

plenty of nights going on with the sound you're pushing but unfortunately/fortunately they're kind of scattered so its rare for residency situations at the moment. Not enough people to cater for as regular as say a weekly for the one promoter to lock down but they're always on

If you're after surf then the beaches to the south and north of Sydney have good breaks. There would be many more gigs for you in either Sydney or Melbourne, and the gigs would be better paying than Brisbane. Unfortunately Sydney is Australia's most expensive city so you'd have to weigh that up.
