Yeah, I generally don't use soluto much these days unless I've forgotten what I installed to make my startup become slow.

Agree, for fixing family/friends older PCs particularly, as you can get away without having to 'think' so much about what they've got running in startup like you would if you had to sift through the startup entries one by one manually.

As a replacement for snipping tool (which is already pretty excellent), I use greenshot.

Does scrolling IE windows, has imgur/picasa/dropbox etc interface, has OCR to clipboard (which is pretty impressive) and of course, very free.

I prefer it over snagit or whatnot. It's currently been released to 1.0 and I've been using it since the early betas. Very impressive progression thus far!

edit: also can be set to launch whenever you press the printscreen button on your kb, and you can do combinations like alt, shift, ctrl+printscreen to trigger different modes of capture.
For all your umbrella needs!

for directoryprintpro, what's wrong with: dir $filepath > file.txt

also for shutdown timing: shutdown /f /t:xxx (where xxx is time in seconds)

You can also use the /m switch to shutdown a remote system using the same command.

Or combine it with Task Scheduler

^ JDownloader is way better, and can download from soundcloud & mixcloud & others that don't let you download

You can also use the /m switch to shutdown a remote system using the same command.

if you're in a remote desktop you can shut it down/reboot with that too. Those buttons are usually missing from the start menu

shutdown /r /f - forces a reboot & gives users a minute warning
or just /f for shutting down

Nothing wrong, but the apps in general do the job nicer.

Used to use a similar shutdown timer back in my torrence days before whatever client I was using had a decent scheduler (hurr durr), was a little more configurable with better notification and shutdown warnings.

The directory printer iirc has the ability to limit what info is printed such as showing/hiding different attributes of the listing and format the info a little better.

Definitely wouldn't pay for either of these apps though.

The shutdown timer was, dpp I forget - I probably 'd that one back in the day.
