She won the right to pick the the ingredient because she followed an old receipe that she has done for years...she tried to use her imagination in the Mexico challenge and got rewarded to the bottom 3...then she had a step-by-step receipe for a sweet dessert and she killed it...you get the drift? Just in case you don't...challenges that provide step-by-step receipes she will excel but creative/savoury challenges with no step-by-step receipes she will struggle...therefore, no imagination.

I had the pleasure of spending several days taking Maggie Beer around to schools to speak to students when she was the Senior Australian of the Year. Amazing woman and incredibly friendly!

(I work for the Australia Day Council and we run the Australian of the Year Awards)

Im second from left

LOL That's Danielle Catanzariti! She's an Aussie actress - starred alongside Toni Collette in 'Hey Hey Its Esther Blueberger'. She was 18 when the pic was taken as yes she's very petite! Lovely girl though

^^^ yep that's pretty lame. If the show was called Master-Team-Leader or Master Manager then she should have won.

Although just because the other chefs dish was better than her's for that course, doesn't mean hers wasn't great.

But yeah that's the whole point of the cook-off - to beat the other chef. Should just be one on one like previous years

They flat out sad BOTH desserts were shit, her's was "some fruit and a splodge of cream" and they only liked they other one because "I love cream"

So yes, it does mean her dish was shit

New format for immunity challenges is terrible, she wins immunity when she completely freaking failed

I'm with you guys agreeing the new format of the immunity challenge is crap but can't deny Mindy with the immunity pin...she cooked the best Mexican dish to be in that position in the first place and she was smart enough to pick the two best cooks to help her win the challenge...

Just putting it out there early on...those three girls that cooked last night has to be the 3 favourites amongst the group...all 3 have been relatively strong throughout the series so far...

that's why the Jew-Terrorists and the Muslim-Terrorists are wrong. Terrorism is not a good substitute for the magical pig animal.

They went looking for God and found religion, and the one they found was sadistic and cruel.

Can't wait to see someone wipe that smug look off Julia's face with a steak.

I swear I saw an episode where the Muslim chick had to cook with pork. What happened to that?

Agree with the above comments re Julie...farking dumb b1tch...also, funny in that episode it wasn't about food...it was about love and relationships. GTFO...judges even commented they didn't expect that kind of response at the end of the challenge...get farked...you judges kept digging into the contestant's love life for fark sakes!

bet purple hat is having major regrets about letting those crazies into his mill for sure!

and why do they need two people up there dropping bags anyway? Mario did fa and too many lingering shots of people just looking through the flour haze trying to think but realising they have zero idea what they are even doing lol

Pretty hilarious how patriotic he is, but you can't blame him because really all of Australia forgets about Tasmania.

Glad they tied, they did a great job tonight. Two classic capable Aussie blokes helping each other out, good shit.

Today you'll be cooking for 100 people - comes down to 60 votes vs. 12? Did some people RSVP and just not turn up

Hamming up all week that one of you will NOT be returning to the MCK - don't eliminate anyone...

Steak elimination round was a bit stupid, should have been first however many to get it RIGHT are safe, not just whoever is the slowest is safe which it ended up being.

yeah was good to keep them both after that challenge. shit would've been real tough to do a dinner service, even half a service, when you never have before.

the next week is looking good, rick stein is all kinds of win, then i hope someone wipes the smug arrogant smile of jamie oliver's face!

I thought it was ridiculous that nobody was eliminated. It was an ELIMINATION challenge. You can't just bend the rules and not eliminate someone. That is unfair on all of the other contestabts. Although I agree that it wasn't a usual elimination style challenge so hard to judge, but they should have got customers scores or something to get a result rather than keep both safe. Sam should've gone IMO... Andy cooked a smarter dish and it was Andy helping Sam out (not the other way around). A whole week of no eliminations.

yeah except bit rough to boot sam out based on that one dish when he has been better over the whole competition. and to be fair, sam cooked a far more complex dish, so props to him for giving it a go. all andy did was braise beef cheeks really, i'm not counting vegies as tough to cook.
