Marshy, rereading my post, some of it was worded terribly and doesnt reflect what i actually think. I do think you're serious about writing and i was making no judgement of your talent. My comments were in relation to the process you are taking to publish your book (based off your description here) but came across as much more personal when it wasnt intended to be that. Sorry.

But I think smilla made a fair point in there. marshwah have you any non-friends, any qualified industry types, actually give you an opinion on where you are headed with this? You have a main objective of "getting a message out there" but the quality of the writing is the only thing that will give it momentum. 60,000 is a long way to get down the track for an amateur, I just hope you have some certainty that it's the right track (and not just because you think in yourself that it's right).

Maybe you are better pouring your limited resources into a professional overhaul of the tale itself so it reads as well as it can. Then don't waste money with printing, host it for free online.
