yea was thinking about that same thing last night, the number of skills is so vast and due to the fact they all have cool downs why not implement some skill saving mechanic, so you don't have to write shit down and go into each skill and rune to set it up. hell they could evenn make you go back to town and do it and it would still be worth while.

i can't even remeber the last set up i had... maybe they will do it in the add-on?

Diversity is all well and good when it actually works.

There is 2-5 necessary skills as a wizard in inferno if you include passives so it cuts down on what you can do in a huge way.

they should give you 2 more skill slots when you hit level 60

the should just make it world of warcraft.

or they could just keep working on the skill balancing.
I think it's wrong that you should have to use some skills, that doesn't really go with the game they were trying to make, hopefully it evens out over time. They are also looking at nerfing the Invulnerable Minions ability apparently, so guess that was pretty hard haha

When a monster with heaps of health and other nasties has invulnerable minions I just lead him to a lonely corner of the map and ditch him.

I like the customisation in D3.
It's annoying to have to grind through so many levels to make a slightly different build of the same character.
Also, if you mess up your build (or your build is nerfed) they don't become useless.
With the witch doctor, there don't seem to be any 'essential' skills and there are a few builds and many variations thereof that are more than .viable (in hell anyway)

Arcane ward is fucking annoying.

Romie frenzy + berserker is insane.

This arvo I joined in a game with some fellow ITM blokes, except they were at the last few missions of Nightmare Act II, but I'm only half way through Nightmare Act I, yet the game let me join them, and now I'm half way through Act III. Might have to go back and finish Act I though and the part of Act II I missed, a bit weak.

i was playing the end of act 3 & start of 4 normal last night with a mate.. i was about 10 levels too low with my wizzard but managed to survive ok most of the time. Leveled up a lot faster.
He's gonna struggle in nightmare.. died a fair number of times playing a monk

When you log into battle net, before you click start/resume game click change quest and see if there is a further quest you can go to.

I completely stopped levelling up the crafter after starting to buy shit from the AH. Finished normal, onto nightmare tomorrow when ill be supremely hungover.

As a relative diablo novice, normal was pretty friggen easy. (although I spose having access to auction house made it A LOT easier)

Getting pretty over act 3 inferno already, epic creeps with 5 modifiers (fast, vortex, minions, fire chains, illusions) happy to play with anyone else on any difficulty except inferno, I have a whole bunch of gems and 3 pages full of epic gear if anyone wants to play together

Bwen have you thought about hardcore? it really keeps you on the edge. Lost my demon hunter at level 8 trying to see how useful smokescreen is. Remade another and just finished act 1 at level 15.

can't remember nm being too gear intensive, maybe play around with your skill setup. but yeah phasebeats, chargers and corrupted angels that swoop from out of screen can go DIAF.

yea try different skills, my tactic as Barb, anyone that one hits me or is to tough... switch to Call of the Ancients, let those dudes dominate.

very effective in nightmare.

ive played around, currently going for diamond skin, ice hydra, blizzard thing and mirror image. my 3 special thingies are ice damage, physical damage reduction and 15% cooldown reduction. my right mouse skill is that uber powerful beam thingy.

i can only get him about 1/4 hp down whilst keeping a safe distance then he just goes whatever **** and smashes me.

Ice Hydra is fairly worthless imo because it seems to have a much smaller attack range, better off using venom hydra as it will do more damage plus it will also dps the adds when they're out as well as the boss.

But yeah that's exactly where I was last night and I didn't find Izual too bad, I used diamond skin, ice armour, venom hydra and mirror images and used the holes in the floor as a place to kite him round trying to keep myself always on the opposite side as him. Whenever he comes round pop images to keep him busy and get to the other side and beam him. If there's a moment that he's on you and he hits you then chances are the shield will freeze him while you get away, if not pop diamond skin and hit images soon as they come up again. I guess everyone does it different but that worked for me in a few goes

Upgraded most of my gear on the AH and I'm at close to 1k dps with 9k health. Went back to finish act 1 nightmare and it's a fucking joke now :o

Going super glass cannon build now, 10k hp and 36.8k dps wonder how this will pan out...

cheers. i switched from venom to ice hydra coz i just got it and the ice spells seemed to work well on the fire ****s that were giving me grief getting there.

i've tried using the holes, but he still manages to just come from nowhere and smash me. might try going back to ice armour instead of blizzard and see how i go.

managed it after 3 more goes. yay. then straight away i proceed to the next area and there's a bunch of champions that were impossible

You could try removing diamond skin/mirror image for frost nova/wave force. Personally I find stuns/snares 10x more useful than diamond skin but it depends on the player skill level, ive seen some aweful wizards constatnly getting owned by melee which shouldnt happen. This is the spec I used for hell

edit: make sure you have the boots with the highest amount of run speed possible for your level, might be around 12% for around the end of hell difficulty.

the drops in inferno do not even come close to covering the repair costs of trying to run it

cheers. diamond skin has been a bit of a crutch so maybe it's a hindrance. ive been bidding on run speed boots but havent snapped any up yet. there's an auction finishing later today that im winning though, so fingers crossed.

i just hit lvl 47 so another to go and i'll be able to try that exact build.

Fucking hell I just lost my demon hunter, level 23 with around 20 hours game time. Got blown up at towards the end of act 2 by 3 of those blowing monsters. I dont know if I can keep doing this but I find it alot more fun than softcore.

bad luck mate, i still die to molten now :neverlearns: i planned on playing HC but with the game still being tweaked by blizz and ping still quite spikey decided i'll save myself the heartache til a few patches down the track. i had one HC toon in D2 who i lost at about lvl 60-70, and playing on edge the whole time is definitely way more fun.

i definitely wouldn't roll a DH in HC though lol

I think ill give it a wait until the games alittle more stable, playing with a 400+ ping wasnt the best idea We should go HC co op once the games alittle better tuned.

Most people dont actually go into inferno when playing hardcore, they except hell as the end. Some people farm inferno act 1 which takes alot of balls and even one person has attempted belial which result in death. I dont know if it was lag that got me but those 3 blowing up monsters just came out of no where and got me good.

Also the auction house is alot better, any item with vitality sells for a decent amount.
