Inside Out and New Guernica are extremely excited to welcome a true legend of house music to our shores in Lil' Louis.

The man responsible for such iconic house hits as ‘French Kiss’, ‘I Called U’ and ‘Club Lonely’ makes his first ever Australian appearance at our exclusive Melbourne show, playing an extended set in the intimate surrounds of New Guernica.

Lil’ Louis’ name is synonymous with house music and his career in the dance music industry has spanned decades. From formative years as a young teen DJ pushing Disco in 1970's Chicago clubs and running his own nightclubs at the age of 16, Lil’ Louis then released his first record ‘How I Feel/Frequency’ on the seminal Chicago label ‘Dance Mania’ and continued on to make dance music history and collaborate with artists like Marshall Jefferson and Larry Heard.

Lil’ Louis will forever be recognized for his seminal release, ‘French Kiss’. In 1987 this record topped the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and continued to top charts worldwide, selling 6 million copies and at the time made Lil’ Louis the top selling dance artist in history.

Following this, his two LP’s: “From The Mind of Lil Louis” and ‘Journey with the Lonely’, featured other club hits like ‘I Called You’, ‘Blackout’, ‘Club Lonely’ and ‘Saved My Life’, along with many more classics. Lil’ Louis went on to top the Billboard chart twice more and will forever be recognised for his hugely influential records that remain staples in the bag of every house DJ worldwide.

I've been going there for about 6 years. Got nothing to do with DB at all.
By my comment is that I've noticed in the last 12 months or so I've noticed it more. Guys like Bill Brewster, Andy Weatherall, Ewan Pearson etc.

Shattered BSU and Sven clashes with this. Unlikely lil Louis will be back any time soon.

It is with a deep heart and extreme disappointment that we are sad to inform the fans of Lil Louis that we have just been notified of his Australian tour being postponed due to unforeseeable circumstances. The tour agents have informed us that due to electrical storms in Chicago & Toronto (stop over) and a case of lost luggage (records and belongings), Lil Louis will not be able to travel to Melbourne, Sydney & Adelaide to fulfil his tour schedule. The tour will be rescheduled once Lil Louis and the team can get back to us with an alternative date that works with the rest of the promoters around Australia.

Lil Louis was extremely excited about his first visit to Australia, hence we are hoping the rescheduled date will be very soon.

Refunds will be available, just awaiting advice from Moshtix and Resident Advisor regarding the best process.
We hope to announce a rescheduled date in the next few days, so please hold tight.

All who were planning on attending the Lil Louis event, please rest assured there will still be a party tonight.

We will still be holding an event tonight with all the trims - extra Nexo sound stacks, E & S rotary mixer as per Louis' request, heaps of great drink specials and Andee Frost & Otologic will be putting together a 5 hour tribute to Lil Louis, Chicago House & House Music in all its forms.

Expect to hear the likes of labels such as DJ International, Underground, Trax, Dance Mania and the like.

There will still be a party tonight!

DJ Bone ended replacing Claude Young, and i believe Mulero eventually made it after some time (at Miss Libs maybe?)

Yeah we've copped some bad luck, but we've always tried to be upfront with everyone and let everyone know the truth, as soon as we receive details of these unfortunate occurrences.

Dave, how good was that feeling when we got the Deetron show together for the Sunday when Steve was away? Fucking epic night!!!!

Yeah agreed that Sunday show was pretty special matey.

In all fairness as well, NG/FFour has hosted over 80 int acts over the last 5-6 years, only a couple of cancellations is actually a great run, obviously it hurts a ton when it happens, the club has always dealt with the situation professionally and ethically. You can't fault them there,

Yeah they have always dealt with bad situations very well. The Last Techno Party Ever with a rammed crowd and locals absolutely smashing it was awesome.

ffour / ng is one of my fav melbourne venues. never had a bad night there.
