Fucking rip off. First try, Thaiday bounces a basketball. Thurston all class for the 2nd. Third was a shepard since 1908 but why not award it if you are going to give the Inglis off the leg try (which was the first given from 12,000 tries in the NRL database).

Happy with that effort, we were better for most of the time.

I thought the difference again was in the halves. NSW have two halves who don't know how to control a game. On the flipside, Thurston controlled Queensland's attack beautifully and always takes the right option........always. Hannant and Myles were devastating up the middle for Queensland and Corey Parker's second phase play was outstanding. Nate Myles is one of the most underrated forwards in the game.......for a guy his size to play 80 minutes so strongly is a massive effort.

Robbie Farah was again NSW best and man of the series for NSW by a long way. He was the only NSW player to show any creativity and all of our attack in each game came from him. His change of direction and ability to read the play tonight was brilliant. He basically took it upon himself to take over from Pearce and Carney in the playmaker role, particularly in the second half which is a real indictment on Pearce and carney.

Watmough was quiet, Tim Grant was quiet and our bench was outplayed and out enthused by the queensland bench.The Morris brothers were fantastic and michael jennings showed a lot of spark with limited opportunities.

I think it's time for paul gallen to start playing like a lock. Despite his high workrate, he was generally ineffective in all three games i thought. Gallen has such a good attacking game and can be so dangerous on the fringe. This year, he played as a battering ram and didn't pose any threat to queensland.

Take Thurston away and NSW win the series........that's what it came down to for me.

I've grown to appreciate Luke Lewis' defensive efforts in this series. He played a ripper of a game in the 2nd game, and in this game he came off the bench to make 3 tackles off the bench and followed it up a couple more consecutive tackles.

Don't know why Creagh is in the team, he was and has been pretty ineffective.

Queensland were better. Not by much, but winning not by much is all that counts.

Seven in a row is hard to cop because it makes it sound like it has been total Queensland dominance, and save a couple of those series, it has been anything but: almost all of the past 7 series have been tight as.

@ Thurston: absolute weapon. And GI too.

Overall Queensland are just more clinical when it matters: doesn't hurt that they have had one of the greatest backlines in League history playing for them in the last 7 years either I guess.

Can't question the Blues resilience though imo. But tonight in particular we were well bunched up in the middle for an unacceptable amount of sets coming out of our own half.

Pearce is servicable but so is Cronk. Cronk just has the added extra of a few tricks up his sleeve he can pull out when required, Pearce just doesn't have that to his game at this stage of his career.

yeah what can you say? you watched it. we did just about everything we could to lose from 8 nil up.

brett morris was a gun selection but then some of our interchanges were baffling. was it just me or did the wheels start to fall off with benny creagh taking the field? he is going to have some origin highlight reel. you couldn't fit the blues in your supercoach side but we just didn't have much doing. we managed to murder almost every set during or after something good happened for us, but despite some of the shite we served up we managed to take you ****s all the way (and that's with the refs giving future immortals a leg up)

QLD.. well they just had more players who knew how to get the job done. i'd be smug with that kinda talent too. the biggest problem for us again is where to now? a point short is still short. overall you'd say it wasn't a bad job but our state desperately needs that winning feeling back lest we are to lose more turncloaks to those dirty ****slanders. kids have gone thru school without seeing a blues win and that is something i fear may start to have a serious effect. we cannot have our future idolising dog ****s like brent tate and justin hodges. whether sticky is our man to go on...

In the end the score reflected the game with Queensland slightly better. As usual NSW just made too many stupid errors and then couldn't get the kick over... we did.

Anyone like to explain to me what Farrah started pointing to and complaining about after his knock on at the death... he pointed to his right, threw his arms up and tried to milk a penalty for some reason. it couldn't have been the markers beacuse they were half a metre away from him.

Because Thurston double dipped at him and put his right arm over the sideline when he was trying to get up to play the ball. I'd have to watch the replay again, but wouldn't be surprised if JT put some knees into him so close to the line.

But if we want to talk about milking a penalty, I would applaud Cronk and give him an excellence medal for staying down in front of the posts after falling into Williams' tackling arm

..and what about that forward pass from C. Smith to Inglis when he made that bust?! just unbelievable - that should have been a penalty and I thought it was worse than that sheppard call.

Great game nonetheless, not sure why Jim Dymock is our attacking coach and I think Ricky is all out of ideas. I think it's pretty clear now we don't have the right halves combo and there is no structured attacking plays. The Morris twins were sensational, Farah another blinder with 54 tackles and two try assists, but the rest of the team collapsed. They tried their guts out and if it wasn't for that field goal, the outcome could have been so different.
