i really hope fucked deb gets kicked out this week, if she doesn't its going to be majorly fucked up.

The stuff about them walking around Rome and happening onto places like the oldest fish shop in Rome, and the guy making squid ink bread seemed real contrived. Plus walk around Rome for a couple of hours then produce a dish which represents the place seems a bit nonsense too.

Let's face it the whole show is contrived.

Please explain how it took Deb an hour and a half to make meatballs.

Think there was a bit more involved with making the sauce though. And it can be tricky to do artichoke, you've got to get the choke out whilst still keeping it looking good, put it in acidulated water, etc.

Yes, that was really annoying the other night to have so many contestants saying that they'd never or had rarely cooked a risotto. Wouldn't you brush up on a few basic dishes, if you were about to go on a massive televised cooking competition show?!! I would have thought risotto would have been one of those dishes. ie. learn how to make a good risotto, a basic bread recipe, a basic pastry recipe, cook a decent steak, practice cooking a piece of fish perfectly.

So it has taken me a few weeks, but I have finally worked out who andy looks like.

I think if you can't cook a decent steak you shouldn't apply, but in general I agree with you. If I were to go on the show I would learn to temper chocolate, make a fail proof pastry, cake, and biscuit, and yeah, pasta from scratch.
