dunno about that. macbook airs are price competitive with ultrabooks. ipads are competitive with other high end 10" tablets. apple tv is price competitive with other media players....

plus, as i said they can still be more expensive eg $299 vs googles $249 and remain in competition with them. that's a 20% higher cost whilst appearing to be not much more expensive.

I ordered my Galaxy Nexus on day 1. Have not been disappointed. I would think Google would be risking far too much to put out a shonky product.

I have mentioned this before in the xbox thread, but be aware that the new HD version has no split screen. NO DEAL ACTIVISION.

If its based on thps 1&2 it has me interested, just hoped they haven't screwed with the mechanics too much.

Split screen thps was pretty shit on ps1 anyway, apart from that it fucked the frame rate/perspective up and you could never play as well as you could on the full screen mode.

I preferred warehouse + taking turns to see who could get the most bullshit score.

Playing HORSE split screen is the best shit ever. There is still online multi, but damn it's just not the same.

Actually yeah you're right. The HD remake doesn't have HORSE mode at all, so they haven't even bothered including pass the controller multi modes which would have been piss easy to add in.

pretty weird - shame I guess, but for me I had more fun playing warehouse in turns to see who could best the highest overall score. Horse was far too stop/start for me.

Huh, sweet. Will be keen to check it out but I bet the physics are completely different.

Got home last night and insta-dloaded.
Man, what a game.

Skated for about 2 hours, highest score was 108,000 - so still have a lot of work to do but got grinding/manualling again in no-time. It's like picking up a bicycle and the quick restart function is totally boss.

See myself losing a lot of time on this. (At least till FIFA 2013).

edit: Would have kept skating, but got home at 11, so it was getting kind of late.

might give the demo a shot as soon as some spare time happens. fkn tony hawk 3 and 4 were awesome and i reckon skate was a nice replacement after the tony hawk series turned to shit and died.

Most famous reviewers can be seen as politicians. They get kickbacks and exclusives from publishers so they give them favourable reviews.

It's glitchy as all hell, if you bail you can quickly manual and you'll respawn into a standstill manual.

Also trying to grind the gymnasium roof will send you into the atmosphere.

I'm loving it. Racking points and collecting cash like a boss. Only unlocked up to Hangar, but am trying to max out each level before progressing to the next, although I forget how to get the DVD (old video) on School II without maxed stats.

Hot damn, great game. Totally hooked.

For the DVD skate to the K, trick off the quarter pipe then head in the opposite direction, there's a little kicker hiding at the base of that platform area, boost off it.

Glitches and all its a great reboot, shame half the soundtrack is missing.
