I find this to not be so accurate. Can be ok shipping prices if you buy in bulk.

That's a pity though thanks for letting me know.

Claudio PRC has a debut album, Inner State, set for release on Prologue in March 2012.

The below link is to an interview he did with the Droid crew.

http://www.droidbehavior.com/blog/20...-prc-prologue/

I've been a bit frustrated with PRC, he occupies a similar space to the one I'd placed T47 in before the release of Primate. I can hear the ideas, and where he wants to take things, but I just don't feel like he has put anything together that meets the expectations I have (if that makes any sense). Hopefully post the release of Inner State he will have well and truely shut me up.

Inner State is easily the best thing that Claudio PRC has done (not disrespecting the other works it is just that this seems to go far beyond).

Check out the samples.

http://www.discogs.com/Claudio-Prc-I...elease/3527745

If the experiences of Dozzy, Parker, Gigli/Obtane and PRC are anything to go by it is strongly arguable that it take years to perfect this sound. Whether persisting is the best career move remains to be seen (although it doesn't appear to have harmed any of these guys).

Cassegrain's "Coptic" EP, linked in the new releases thread, is another belter out on Prologue.

Nice one mate. The Copic EP stream there is awesome... but wow at the sounds from Claudio PRC! That 18 minute sampler sounds amazing! I see the release date has passed, will look at buying the full release

A session and a bit through PRC's Inner State and it seems as though it will more than stand up to the initial impression the samples gave me.

It is sort of like Voices from the Lake meets Zooloft.

Another EP that fell through the cracks for me was Iori's Lapis EP. Obviously Prologue, like other labels and artists with really identifiable sounds, suffers from the high quality and the lack of obvious variation from release to release, and a lot of the releases can get left behind. Why do you go back a year? Because you hear a schnippet of Lapis 1 and realise it is once of the most destructive tracks out of Prologue (and easily one of my favourites).

PPOD | 016 | Giorgio Gigli

Always evolving as an artist and as a producer, Giorgio Gigli draws inspiration from intense emotional experiences by using music as his form of communication. Each composition is created from moods, which are then transformed into waves, layers and substrates to create visual simulations and virtual landscapes in your mind. His music will slowly push you further and further into his world until you lose grasp on reality. Soon the simple voids, pitfalls, drones and dilated melodies become much more intricate and when those hypnotic rhythms start to transform... Your caught in his dream like a fly in a spiderweb, and you can't get away...

Giorgio's love for ambient music allows him the power to analyze and render almost every element and vibration during his productions as well as his dj sets, which is why he is one of the most exciting artists in the techno community to date. I hope you enjoy as much as I do, it's a personal favorite of mine. Enjoy!

Prologue Portefeuille Podcast 04 - Abdulla Rashim

Not much is known of the mysterious producer Abdulla Rashim. Being situated in Sweden and having released two records in 2011 on his own imprint, Abdulla Rashim Records, Abdulla keeps both his sound and himself below the surface. At least we know this guy is fantatsic and belongs to our Prologue Family.

Released by: Prologue Music
Release/catalogue number: PPP04
Release date: Apr 21, 2012

http://soundcloud.com/prologue/prologue-portefeuille

Just listened to all of this at work. AMAZING

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

D-Node 150: Abdulla Rashim | Prologue

There’s no tracklist provided with this one. The idea is to listen to the tracks rather than potentially gloss over their names, though we’ve had some fun guessing and researching a few of the tracks ourselves. Enjoy.

Yeah that makes sense for the Victorian show, but the big question for us is what's gonna happen for the NSW leg. Would absolutely love it to be offered to Subsonic, giving Voices From The Lake an outdoor setting to demonstrate their craft. Too good to be true really with the festival lining up with their tour (assuming it's early Dec this is happening). My hopes are there but it remains to be seen where they are going to play

Same goes for Dozzy, last year was fucking excellent at the Whitehouse, but I think he is better suited to an outdoor setting, where the sound can really travel.

Fingers crossed for sure. And yeah Dozzy outdoors at SF for the minutes he played had me eyes closed, overwhelmed with the music and the setting. That for multiple hours is what we want. Just like what you got at Labyrinth

If not Subsonic, would love it if a 'smaller', niche promoter brand like last year got the gig...

Is there a Smalltown promoter in Sydney, or do they just on sell the acts?

I dont know where in Sydney they would play other than something like Subsonic. Voices surely are not big enough to sell out the Metro are they? and somewhere like One22 would not be big enough surely. There is no way i will go to Laundry for it. Time will tell i guess.

Im surprised Dozzy is coming back so soon. Stoked but surprised. Missed him last tour.

Their music is definitely made for outdoors.

I hope like hell that it isn't a festival here (which I suppose it could be).

The major bush doof type festivals down here are just gurn fests aimed at people who just want get fucked up (which are sold as cultural experience). In essence they are just Stereosonic festivals lasting a few days in the bush with some hippies with about the same concentration of shit music but without the aggression. In essence there is nothing wrong any of it but I am resigned to it not being anywhere near the best environment to hear music, especially music as subtle as VFTL.

I hope like hell that Dozzy is put on in a club somewhere with a few hours to spin his brand of smooth but banging techno in addition to VFTL.

I interpreted the original quote as being VFTL Live + a Dozzy dj set. I'm pretty sure that's what has been happening on the current tour. Will be coming from Brisvegas to Melbourne for the gig.

I personally didn't think there were that many VFTL fans or admirers here in Australia to pull off a tour like this especially that brand of techno but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Oh and I too was surprised to see VFTL/Dozzy come back to Oz after Dozzy's last outing here was a total clusterfuck.

And that's why I admire him as an artist and person so much! he isn't holding a grudge against anyone. I just hope this time he is treated with the utmost respect

Their US tour has been going really well, and I can't wait for my own VFTL experience! I want to be able to feel like I'm in a forest or swimming in a lake whilst dancing in the club.

I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

Yeah same. I recall downloading it from TEA when they put up the 320 version. Either email the dude or just stream it, no harms.

Many of you going to check out Eric Cloutier in a few weeks whilst he's in Aus? He's playing long sets and bringing some vinyl. I'm interested to see the pace of the techno he'll play in the latter stages of his set, whether he really throws it down or not. I do sometimes see him on the housier / dub side of things but itd be great to hear some deep rolling basslines in the second half. Having a peak time slot rather than his renowned warm up slot should be interesting also

Checking out Cloutier for sure.

I'm really looking forward to hearing some of his dubby vibes.
