Hi everyone,

Next friday at the Tiki Lounge Bondi Junction, d + M is kicking off. What is d + M? (besides an abbreviation for Deep & Meaningful or Dirty & meaningless )

d + M = Deep house every friday night, quality dj's every week, free entry, tasty cocktails by candlelight, drink specials and a cosy warm atmosphere.

To start we have Robbie Lowe one of Australia's very best Djs, plus the lovely Magda Bytnerowicz (who's been grooving up a storm of late) coming to play, so to say we're excited is a massive understatement.. (Excitement spiked somewhat when Robbie mentioned he would be bringing a bunch of vinyls to play!)

Also it's only 5 mins walk from Bondi Junction station! (right near the western entrance of westfields)
The tunes start at 8pm, so it's great for afterwork drinks as well. From 6-8pm there will be funk n soul music played + more great drinks specials, so if you are working in the area why not just stop by afterwards and see how you go

Trial run was lots of fun. Top venue. Highly recommend people get down to this.

Robbie & Magda played brilliantly, which was enjoyed by a decent crew of people who braved the cold thankfully. Jason the bar manager was giving out heaps of free shots to people. I got drunk (despite my slight aversion to coconut flavoured booze, the other shot with grapefruit juice was way nicer)

The red shot was heaps nice.

Mad tunes all night too! Cool venue and vibes.

I think that was Pisco! Sweet Chilean nectar. Enjoyed this again, was sounding great down there...

This friday night Sydneys finest, Simon Caldwell, backed up by the undergrounds finest.. The MITC dj's. From the Buxton Bush, to illegal inner city barns, back alleys, dodgey inner west pubs & other areas you shouldnt go by yourself, MITC dj's keep the vibe wild & your pants on the floor

For those interested, it was a stack of great new records he had just recieved.
I don't know If I imagined it still and why I didnt bum rush the decks at that time for a track ID but he played some sort of housey jazz version of strings of life.. At least I think he did. Who knows.. So anyway..

Another top Friday night musics. Trinity played a great set. Bubbled along very nicely then in the final stretch brought it home with some of the best house/deep techno I've heard in a while. And great tunes from Raffi and Oli.

Absolutely love that space btw, and the soundsytem is beautiful! Looking forward to hanging out there more often

Also Raffi imo has to be one of the best dj i've heard at rocking the slow vibes. He is proof that BPM matters not and it's all about the groove. 'Slo Mo' dissers get down to check him and out, you will be converted Ando, well I always crap on about your djing, so I am going to give a wrap to your T-Shirt, I thought it was super fresh & so it suited the vibe you layed down perfectly

Peret Mako is an excellent dj. Musically speaking, I feel it has been spot on since the first night. I have been so happy with all the dj's who have played so far (not that I had doubts ). Peret & The Submarines will continue the emerging trend. Bring on friday! (and more drink specials )
