Here is an article by Mark Rippetoe, its really good and explains how easy the deadlift is to do, you are just picking up barbell and putting it back down so you dont need to over complicate things

Technically you aren't resting cause you're loading up weights!

Tonight I did
Squats 3x5 90kg
Press 8,8,5 40kg (had to use the ez curl fixed weight barbell for this)
Romanian deadlifts 3x8 60kg
Pullups 3x5

Feels good man. This gym up here only has one squat rack, one oly barbell, no bench press (have to use squat rack) and no straight bar fixed weights. But they do have every machine you could imagine... Bodyworld has spoiled and jaded me

Was really feeling good today.

3km walk/2km run to work then
5.01km in 25:07 to get home tonight

Was kinda hoping to break the 25min mark but still happy with the effort
Will take it easy tomorrow and just do some core workouts.

whats the general opinion on lifting on plush carpet? Any issues?
Ribs are finally feeling OK, bit of dull pain bit pushed through. Only have a small set of plates available, but first time back in two months.

Bench - 3x10 @ 60kg, 2x6 @ 70kg
Deads - 3 x 8@ 70kg. still a bit worried about these, no mirror = no form check.
Squats - 3 x 8 @ 70kg
BO BB Row - 3 x 6 @ 70kg
Curls - amrap @ 20kg
Standing Row - amrap at 30kg

Swim at the lake down the road and admiring moisties for time

Still cooked this morning from last night:

7 rounds:
7 x Front squat @ 60kg
7 x chest to bar pullups

11min 9 i think, my ego came crashing back down to earth doing that one after last night, got smoked.

then

100kb swings @ 32kg - everytime you put the bar down do a walking overhead @ 60kg for 20m, put it down, pick it up, walk back, reapt untill 100
9min 14sec

then

7 x 3 Bench @ 80kg focussing on exploding from the bottom.
