ant man actually sounds alright. he can make himself tiny and can communicate and control insects. has potential, could be great, could be terrible.

Finally saw The Avengers the other night on cable. Massively underwhelmed. It looks great, and there are a few (too few) good one-liners but the whole film was just pointless other than to make sure we keep getting superhero films shoved down our throats for years to come.

I guess I'm not really, and never really was, a huge comic book fan (though I do like some of the edgier graphic novels to be fair).

Fair call. I don't dislike comic book movies. I watch them. I've enoyed a few of them a lot. It's just that I feel comic book movies are at saturation point and I think it's potentially squeezing out other originalish big budget films.

And I realise no one is forcing me to watch the ones I do end up watching but that doesn't exclude me from not actually voicing a bit of ye ol' disappointment when I do see them, does it?

Bump! I completely agree with this after watching on the weekend. Couldn't make heads or tails of the plot.
