[media] tag requests. Vimeo support + automatic embedding
Can we please
a) add support for Vimeo videos (plus others, myspace etc)
b) use the plugin available to vBulletin (we do use that, right?) to allow auto embedding of videos
VJforums has this ability, can we as well - please?

I've updated the size of the media player.. For auto embedding and Vimeo, I need to install a later version of the media plugin. Unfortunately, that version is not compatible with our current vbulletin install AND it's PHP5 only (we're currently still on a PHP4 box).

ITM is being migrated to new servers in the next week or so tho and that will solve the PHP5 issue. vbulletin upgrade is a little more complex / time consuming - so this will have to wait a while sadly.

yeah it is nice. The current plugin does support vimeo, but their URL format has changed since it was written obviously, so you need to modify a URL from http://www.vimeo.com/1910461 to http://www.vimeo.com/clip:1910461

Also, it seems to be a little on and off weirdly..

So, you see, it works, you just gotta know how. I'll see if I can hack the script later on to fix this.

surely something like interpreting and converting bbcode, when you already have an existing plugin that does the same for youtube (and occasionally with legacy vimeo urls), and it all runs in PHP anyway, should be really simple?
