Difficult to answer as there are so many variables to consider.

How absent minded do you get?
How large is the camera (ie if it's a DSLR do you mind the effort of hauling it and having to worry about it)
Are you (lol) camping?


Generally I leave my dslr at home and just take a good quality compact. Most these days are 12+ MP and do HD movies anyway.

Im not very absent minded, but i have a tendency to drink if u know what i mean ahah, i guess i wont, i have a cam that will record for 2 hours but it isnt great , not hd or anything, and it only charges with a laptop (by usb) so i am not sure how i am gonna work this out

Boring! Take the camera and to hell with it all.

Some points to consider. You can take a small backpack in the event, one to fit your camera and a jumper is enough. There are lockers in the entrance that can house a small backpack. You can put your camera in there when you sick of it. I have left my passport and wallet in the lockerbox lockers, I think they are secure enough. Get some insurance on the camera and take spare mem sticks etc.

It's crowded and huge. Lot of walking from stage to stage, how big and heavy will it be? Take it for one day only maybe. Have you got a decent strap on it and also a plasic bag, cos it will rain. I also have a compact dslr I wish to take. So this is also some things I have been thinking. For the record, not once have I ever worried about someone eyeing off my gear, and as a chuck my bag against the fence kind of gal and dance near it. Never once worried about theft.

Friday, J00f was great, Sat - PVD was amazing on the trance stage & noisecontrollers on Qdance stage & Sun Orjan Neilson smashed it

Who ever said in this thread that 'no one is smashed at Euro festivals' mannnn I don't know where u were looking but all I saw was incredible amounts of munt. On Friday we saw a dude so smashed he was rolling around on the hill, Sat some dude was carried out by his friend & security, Sunday in the space of 2 mins @ the Ovum stage I saw 1 dude almost collapsing & being carried by his friend and then another dude collapsed on my foot and was taken out by security. Then at the Trance Addict stage a wasted dude climbed the rigging and then got thrown out

If I went again I wouldn't do a hotel package, as our shuttle bus left @ 130, we didnt want to risk missing it so couldnt stay for the fireworks

now i know why it was voted number 1 festival in the world.. that was insane!!!

Excellent weekend! Best bit was the line up changes and people getting confused looks on their faces. hahahaha.
Few problems on the Fri, that too their credit they fixed for the rest of the weekend.
Stinking hot! So that the kids dropping could have been passed out from drink rather than drugs. You can only assume.... But I stand by my opinion that the European crowd aren't into gear as much as the rest of the world. It was more obvious this year due to noobs on the tomorrowland bandwagon than previous years regulars I think.

Which of you kids got their flag up on the stage for Code black and dv8? lol

Sunday was sketch central, I don't think it was the heat, just n00bs on euro drugs. I forgot to say on Sunday I saw two guys absolutely lose their shit and have massive rage attacks though would not like to be the person it was directed at

Also I can't believe how lax security was compared to Australia & Defqon 1 NL, I didn't get patted down once and I saw heaps of people eating stuff of out baggies Awesome

There was soooooo many bogan Aussies, straaaayyyyaa maaattteeee

I thought crowd was pretty tame in comparison to what I see here... So little agrression too.

I said euro crowds get nowhere near as mashed and I stand by that after just doing Exit this year and experiencing the same... all the extra munt was probably loose Australian's.

Nice to know I went a year with practically no aussies as well if there were noticeable bunches of bogans this year.

Movie has been up for 24 hours and already accommodation is booking up fast.
Just a top tip for people that are thinking they want to hit it up next year, maybe get a room with free cancellation.

watching that movie brings a tear to my eye....

Good thing I have been a few times and know to catch that in the opposite direction. Being as we sharing, can I ask you guys to be a bit more forthcoming and mention how long. And is it 3 Euros?

i didn't pay the first 2 days but was made to pay the last day for the bus. it was like 3 euros. it was easy enough follow the crowd.

nfi how much. It was about 40mins bus ride. And it was easy to get back to as they had the bus out the front of the festival coming fairly regular.

Don't make the mistake we did and walk into boom on the first night to try get a cab home... SHIT FIGHT. worst decision ever lol.

But yea, was nice to get back to an amazing bed and relax your feet and unwind... then do it all again the next day.

As we were travelling with lots of shit, didn't want to risk camping and stuff go missing.

Hey guys I'm planning to go to Tomorrowland 2013 next July, does anybody know which are the payment methods in order to buy the tickets? From what I've read the tickets sell like crazy and they were sold out minutes after they were released. What about the tomorrowland packages, those which include the flight, festival tickets and dreamville camping, did those sell crazy fast too? Any help, tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm from Argentina, all the way down in South America, that's why I'd like to start planning right now...

Tomorrowland | Aftermovie 2012 - Australia - YouTube

Our group was randomly selected to represent Australia at Tomorrowland 2012. (Randomly selected transaction - anyone who buys tix is eligible).
As part of this, we got reserved camping with the other selected groups from 74 countries.
On the Saturday we attended a VIP International party with free food & drinks.

As part of this also, there was a task to make a video, from the start of trip (from your home town/something that represents your country) to the end of the festival days (under 5mins).

The video goes into the draw vs other countries, and the winner gets tickets for 2013.

This video is my entry.
