It is Monday the 26th of March and we welcome Brendon Moeller for the very first time on the CLR Podcast. Since leaving his native South Africa for New York City in 1993, the dub technician has been proudly laying down his musical legacy on renowned labels like for example Astralwerks, Mule Musiq, Six Degrees Records or Francois K's Wave Music, sometimes working under his real name, sometimes under the monikers Echologist or Beat Pharmacy. When it comes to post-Basic Channel dub techno with a variety of musical influences, Brendon Moeller is one of the guys you should definitely pay attention to. Dub, techno, jazz, afrobeat and psychedelics are inspirations that appear in most of his music and he has collaborated with some of the great dub vocalists of our time. He is behind seven full length albums to-date, each of which has breached musical boundaries, and he will soon release another solo album on Speedy J´s label Electric Deluxe. You can find further Brendon Moeller mixes on his Soundcloud account and further information on his releases and tour dates on his facebook and Resident Advisor pages mentioned below.

it's one of the best CLR mixes to date mate. eno, pinch & shackleton, conrad schnitzler, mills, monolake. hard to top off that, even a classic nirvana tune in the mix.

i think i like the mulero one the best just for the complete murkyness and uncompromising sound he has kept with it.

this track he finishes on near the end just sums up perfect techno for me. another absolute cracker from jeroen search!

he has smashed my face in a few times now.

it was unbelieveable going to spain and seeing how much they love him out there! all the other stages at monegros just emptied out when he came on outside, you could barely move a muscle as he banged the hell out of it for 3 hours.

CLR Podcast 179 – Marcel Dettmann

people are starting to really love their harder beats again.

this is a very good thing. i've spent the last 3 years wondering where techno was heading but now there is a new breed of strong artists putting out tougher music again. fair play.

CLR Podcast 183 – Marcel Fengler

It is Monday the 27th of August and we have Marcel Fengler, resident at Berlin´s Berghain club and restless Techno ambassador back on this week´s CLR Podcast. In Marcel’s world opposites attract. Ambient and electronica are equal parts in his sets that owe as much to the UK’s progressive school of relentless techno as they do to that special “Berghain sound” - a dictum created by music journalists and a description that is as diverging as the club’s resident DJs. Marcel has been a resident at Berghain from day one and has continuously helped to nurture and shape the incomparable vibe of this so-called “temple of boom”. He is known and respected for his hard and dynamic, but at the same time surprising and emotional sets with a very personal, human touch. A similar versatility can be found in his productions, which he is releasing on various renowned labels including the famous Ostgut Ton imprint as well as his own label IMF (Index Marcel Fengler). We hope you enjoy the present, exclusive studio mix by this passionate artist. If you would like to know more about Marcel Fengler, please visit the following sites: facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Marcel...61687607234760 soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/marcel-fengler twitter: https://twitter.com/MarcelFengler ostgut booking: http://ostgut.de/booking/artist/marcel-fengler Listen and download here: http://www.clr.net/media.pl Tracklist CLR Podcast 183 – Marcel Fengler: 01 - Robert Hood – The Exodos – Music Man 02 - VCMG – Aftermaths (Alva Noto Remix) – Mute 03 - Exhaltics – The Wrong Direction – Creme Organisation 04 - Peter van Hoesen – Decoder – TX2 05 - Mark Broom – Vault 5 – OstgutTon 06 - Fanon Flowers – A1 – Steel Works USA 07 - Psyk – Main – Mote Evolver 08 - Woo York – Void (Truncate Remix) – Mutex 09 - Marcel Fengler – Frantic – Otsgut Ton 10 - Patrick Gräser – From Foreign Territories – Ostgut Ton 11 - Ralph Mirto – Caustic (Alex Bau Remix) – Nachtstrom 12 - Oscar Mulero – Reverberation – Pole Group 13 - Miller & Keane – Underwater Firework – Audiosculpture 14 - Luke Slater – Freek Funk (Steve Bicknell Lost Mix) - Novamute 15 - Paul Mac – Hotel Insomnia (Marcel Fengler Sleepless Remix) – EPM 16 - Marcel Fengler – 6 In A Row – Ostgut Ton 17 - Barker Baumecker – Spur – Ostgut Ton

CLR Podcast 184 – Heiko Laux

It is Monday the 3rd of September 2012 and we have Berlin based Heiko Laux back on the CLR Podcast with a generous two hour mix he recorded live at “Eleven” in Tokyo. The acclaimed German DJ, producer, electronic musician and founder of the internationally renowned “Kanzleramt” label has been witnessing and actively adding to the very beginnings of the techno movement in his native province of Hessen / Germany. He was so to speak at the right time, at the right place and got increasingly known and respected in this blossoming new scene. One of the most crucial breakthrough moments in his consistently successful DJ career happened when he was offered a prime time residency at the legendary “Omen” club in Frankfurt, where he could really show his dedicated passion and skills to the enthusiastic crowd. In the eighteen years of running his label “Kanzleramt”, he has released numerous memorable productions and albums, not only by himself, but also by artists like Anthony Rother, Johannes Heil and Patrick Lindsey - just to mention a few. CLR Podcast 185 – Psyk

It is Monday the 10th of September and we have a new guest for the first time on the CLR Podcast. Psyk aka Manuel Anós from Madrid / Spain is currently one of the most promising up and coming artists in the global techno scene. Over the last years he has quickly built a solid reputation as a highly gifted dj and producer. He has played at some of the best clubs worldwide, like for example Tresor, Berghain, Rohstofflager and Fabric. His restless work in the studio has been rewarded with releases on various renowned labels such as Drumcode, Figure, Enemy Records, Minus and his own, widely respected imprint Non Series. Today he actually celebrates his first release on Luke Slater´s label Mote-Evolver entitled “Distane E.P.”. It contains four massive tracks which several of today´s biggest players including Chris Liebing have already been playing up and down over the last couple of months. Now EDLX is on the Black Asteroid wagon (I can't be bothered looking for the EDLX thread).

What the hell is going on? It isn't just plain or average this is genuinely bad music.

Luis Figo's manager must have gotten himself into EDM.
My mixes:

Bruno Orso’s Sunrise Over Tocumwal, 28 January 2012
Track list

Orso's Sounds of the Tunnel Vol 1, December 2013

Couldn't agree more, total gash. Haven't listened to the new E.P but have no expectations of it being any thing other than shit.

Couldn't believe it when I saw EDLX were releasing something by him, especially after a few stories I'd heard

I have to admit that I am one of those annoying drivers slowing down to look at the crash. I can't help myself.

I wonder if it's Mike Parker

But god I hate Cielo. I lived in NY about a year and half with my family and every time I went there twice and haven't really enjoyed it. Go to the parties at The Bunker if you get a chance. The guys who run it know their music and they always have the best lineups. I'm sure there will be something decent on, usually is 1 or 2 good events in a month.

CLR Podcast 186 – Justin Berkovi

It is Monday the 17th of September 2012 and we have Justin Berkovi, a true techno veteran for the first time on the CLR Podcast. Since the release of his first EP fifteen years ago, he has produced a long list of seminal records and is about to release his 6th full length album entitled MONDRIAN on Germany's Trapez Records on September 24th. Whilst cemented in the Techno history books with his classics on Music Man, Force Inc, Djax-Up and Harthouse back in the days, he has now returned to the fore with a slew of highly promising original productions and remixes. Justin’s memorable live sets have taken him all over the globe from the most intimate of clubs to the largest of festivals. The present mix is an exclusive 'warehouse' style live set in which he blends various sub-genres of techno from the deeper old school stuff right through to the new school tough tool sound. It also features some tracks from his forthcoming album and some of his recent remixes. If you would like to find out more about this exceptional artist and his tour-dates for his forthcoming album MONDRIAN (to be announced by the end of September), please check out the following sites: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JustinBerkovi Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/justinberkovi Website: http://justinberkovi.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/justinberkovi Listen and download here: http://www.clr.net/media.pl Tracklist CLR Podcast 186 - Justin Berkovi (LIVE) 1) When I Throw Down (ART) 2) Anodyne Dub (Promo) 3) Mondrian - Mark Reeve Edit (TRAPEZ) 4) Clipflow (Promo) 5) Voices (TRAPEZ) 6) Space DJz - Polymath Justin Berkovi Remix (SICK WEIRD ROUGH) 7) Black Rain (SLAPJAXX) Surveillance (TRAPEZ) 9) The Bell Tolls (SLAPJAXX) 10) The Groove (DJAX UP BEATS) 11) Pig & Dan - Keep it Coming Justin Berkovi Remix (SOMA) 12) Newmatic (PROSTHETIC PRESSINGS) 13) Mondrian (TRAPEZ) 14) Michael Schwarz - Fauna Justin Berkovi Remix (33) 15) The Heaviest Of Nights (Promo) 16) Vice (PROSTHETIC PRESSINGS) 17) Jeopary (DJAX-UP-BEATS) 1 Industry 101 (CHROMA) 19) Angel Dies (SONIC GROOVE)

Didn't know he was from Melbourne
Didn't know he played techno which from the tracklist it doesn't look like it... probably not the techno I am used to anyway.
