ok so i don't look like a complete whacko here is the dealio..

from Age 4-12 we didn't have a TV. Only mum and dad had a radio. it was always on AM though.
I love books and reading. I used to read 5 books in 3 days. I would read whatever chance i got.
when i wasn't reading, i was outside up the tree.

Later on in highschool, i still read a lot, but also played lots of PC games. need for speed, timeshock, motoracer, motocross madness..
Later when i got a PC i'd just create viruses and test them on my pc and learn binary code.

When i started working i found ITM and it was all over, i got addicted to Trance and didn't listen to the radio much.

Story of my life..

haha except now i have a laptop and smartphone.
i'm a nerd. can't help it. always have been.

you can watch movies and TV on them easy peasy

don't worry, you're not the only nerdy one here; quantum and I just swapped a bunch of sci-fi books so we've something new and interesting to read.

as to the guys I mentioned earlier
John, Paul, Ringo and George - The Beatles, who I was introduced to by my best friend back when i was around 17, got to know their music and got to know about how much they changed music and now appreciate them for the geniuses they are

Mike Jagger - front man of The Rolling Stones, I'd never paid much attention till I started hearing some of the early stuff on ZzZ. You need to know who he is if you want to appreciate The Mighty Boosh properly

Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, John Cleese, Michael Palin - this 6 are Monty Python, again I didn't get into these guys till at least late teens, thought the Python fan at highschool was a bit of a dick, but have since learned to appreciate the absurdity of people getting slapped in the face with a fish

Rik, Mike, Vyvyan and Neil - british sitcom from the 80s called The Young Ones, pretty much all the British comedians from the 80s showed up in this show. Was written by Ben Elton who has since gone on to do a lot more, and write some good books

Paul McDermot, Tim Ferguson and Richard Fidler - Australian trio the Doug Anthony Allstars, I was introduced to these guys at 12 which is far too young to be watching DAAS. Extremely rude, crude and funny while being rather educational if you can be bothered checking up their references

as to EM, I'd pretty much given up on new music in the 90s, but my then gf took me to Earthcore in '05 to which I went "crap, a bunch of people who are friendly rather than drunken louts, and interesting music I know nothing about but I think I could get into"

found ITM a bit later and started taking myself out to gigs

atm I've taken it to a couple of places so they can pass the quotes on to the insurer, next step is taking it to the insurer on fri arvo, which I guess means I'll be without a car for a week or so. when I was getting one of the quotes the guy asked how attached I was to the car, and that I shouldn't be surprised if they decide it's cheaper to write it off.

I've got some good memories for that car, we've had many adventures, it's taken me to almost every doof I've been to, and it's the only car I've had sex in, but I think it is about time to move on anyways.

the other thing I'm still waiting on is finding out what happened at the sentencing hearing on monday, if the guy got any gaol time or not
