Anyway, I'm just bored because I'm waiting for my 14 million row query to finish. 5 hours 15 minutes and counting.

re: Chobani - I like that its fat free, high in protein, nice in texture/flavour and low in carbs. I track macros like Nads and I'd rather get my fat intake from tastier sources like nuts, salmon, lamb shanks, nut butters, Nutella etc

Exactly. My diet is anything but low fat. Yesterday I had about 60g of fat, which made up about a third of my macros for the day. 20g of that was saturated, which is still probably a bit higher than ideal, but I like full cream milk in my porridge & coffees.

Making the cut on some things means being able to justify full fat where it matters to me (coffee!)

Dave, I've had to stop buying the Gippsland yoghurt for the same reason I've stopped buying ice cream - I walk past the fridge & have '1 spoon' so many times a day that the whole tub disappears before I know it. So creamy & amazing.

Also, the fruit Chobanis are a great, quick way of getting whey protein into you immediately post-workout, as the ratio of protein to carbs means you absorb the whey faster than a protein shake on its own.

Iktf, I'm exactly the same, I scoff way too much yoghurt, and if I happen to have full-fat stuff around I'm even worse.
Also agree with Loopi, I'd rather get my fat quota from bacon and other fatty meat things.

I think a shake with whey and dextrose would absorb faster than the yoghurt

Is it true that the best way to absorb protein is to put your WPI in little caps and shelve it?

Made rooburgers last night, best batch I've made to date. Just enough flavour from the seasoning to not overpower the roo taste and the right amount of heat from the chilli. I forgot to measure shit out so I'll probably never reach roo-zen again, damn.

Apparently eating a bag of full cream dicks works even better.

I still think the Macro meats kangaroo burgers are awesome and way more convenient.

Can someone re-link brad's frittata recipe for me? Here's my tuna version in return (skip the salad if it's not your thing):

Tuna Frittata with Fennel Salad

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:
2 x 195g cans tuna in oil, drained, flaked
400g can cannellini beans, rinsed, drained well
1 cup (80g) grated pecorino cheese
1 bunch rocket, washed, dried, trimmed, coarsely chopped
8 eggs, lightly beaten
2½ tbsp olive oil

Fennel salad
1 bulb fennel (about 400g), trimmed, halved, very thinly sliced (or ¼ small cabbage, trimmed, finely shredded)
1 small Spanish onion, thinly sliced
½ cup flat leaf parsley
2½ tbsp lemon juice
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Method:

1. Combine tuna, beans, pecorino and rocket in a large bowl. Add eggs. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Using a fork, mix well.
2. Heat oil in a large, heavy-based non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add egg mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until set on base and slightly around side. Using a spatula, slightly lift cooked edge to allow uncooked mixture to run under side and base. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes or until set around the edge but still soft in the middle.
3. Invert frittata on to a plate. Slide back into pan then cook for another 3 minutes or until almost cooked in the middle. Remove from heat. Stand for 5 minutes in pan. Serve with fennel salad.
4. For salad, combine all ingredients in a bowl. Season to taste, then toss to combine.

Varies from time to time but basic mix is
2kg chicken mince
Bunch of chopped coriander with stalks
2 garlic cloves minced
Half a packet of taco or burrito mix
Dash of soy
Swig of sweet Chilli
Salt pepper
Egg
Red Chilli flakes or fresh Chilli

Tweak ingredients how you want, mix is always pretty wet but just get BBQ hot and form patties from bowl and chuck straight on

Gunna make the frittata tomorrow, aww yeah
