Help Finding a Projector I Saw
Hi guys, I don't know if anyone was at Mad Racket at the Bowlo when Deepchild played? But they had some sort of projector that made 3D images, it did this by projecting on to cube of fabric hanging from the ceiling above the dance floor. I know this seems really vague but has anyone heard of or seen of anything like this? Have tried searching but can't find anything.
Cheers.

It is likely just a high lumin projector that has been vector mapped to the cube. I haven't seen the example you're talking about but if you can throw up a clip that would help.

Thanks Hifire.
I just looked up some pics from the party (not sure why I didn't do that initially) you can see what I mean here

The visuals were much cooler than what these pics suggest later in the night.

It does seem to be basically projectors firing at the cloth, but if I knew what it is called I could research the specifics further. I was just thinking about it recently and was wondering how hard it would be to implement as the 3d effect looked much cooler than just a projector on a wall.

It's probably just a pretty standard Barco projector http://www.barco.com/en/Products-Sol...nue-projectors

Yep Rocky is on the money, Barco’s are the business when it comes to this work (I have one sitting in my office right now!) but you could do the same thing with any high lumin projector and resolum.

Give the free trial a shot, it’s a brilliant program.

Also for some inspiration check out Monkwhy, he’s a local that used to do a ton of visuals for the big bass shows in Brisbane, unfortunately he has stopped now but his media is still up online
