if you expect to find an unexpected venue you must first be able to expect the unexpected. then you must find a venue where you would expect to be able to think of another unexpected venue. this aforementioned venue can be indoors, but the unexpected venue should be outdoors, which, as you would expect, will be in the sunshine. unless it is not a day party, then it will be in the moonlight. if your party fails to deliver, the late michael jackson would have told you not to blame it on the sunshine, nor the moonlight, but rather on the boogie.

hope this helps. good luck on your quest.

Your local library is usually a good venue to look for stuff, it has helpful ladies in twinsets, handy reference books and some access to the Internet!

Plenty of shelves in a library. And dust.

202 Broadway gets a nice allotment of sunshine from it's large windows - speak to the Bedlam lads that do the Sunday party there to find out how much (sorry, only ever been there in the dark)

Don't know if it could be done, you'd have to talk to council, but the carriage works in newtown has a big undercover, but with an open side, carpark. That I think would be worth looking at, it also has a big thick wall between it and the residents over the street that might help in dealing with noise issues.

My two cents-

Thank you for your suggestions. I actually like the greenhouse idea

Didn't there use to be a building with a blue glass roof around Darling Harbour? I only got here from Detroit a few years ago, so...
