diesel:u:music, the eponymous launch-pad responsible for showcasing the likes of Diplo, The Cool Kids, Mylo & DJ Yoda in the early stages of their careers is coming to Australia for the first time this year, and to celebrate Diesel are throwing a very special party in their Oxford Street store.

The store’s walls will be transformed on the day with a music-focused art installation thanks to local artist, Mark Drew (China Heights). Local musicans including The Conscious Pilots, Dj Scott Pullen and Michelle Martinez of The Groove Academy will be turning out the tunes, and Diesel’s store basement (entry via Victoria St, Paddington) will be converted into a Speak Easy-styled bar, with drinks on the house courtesy of Peroni Leggera and Smirnoff.

As an added bonus, any guests that bring in an old pair of Diesel jeans on the day will receive a discount of up to 50 percent on a new pair!

The good times kick off at 12pm on Saturday August 22, 408-410 Oxford St, Paddington.

For those of you that are yet to experience The Conscious Pilots, these guys are one of the coolest & most original live bands I've seen for many years.

Check 'em out in the Diesel Store this Saturday.

I read in MX on Wednesday, that it starts at MIDNIGHT. Yes... I wonder if people are going to show up then?
