Looking at the tracklist this is the same as Past, Present, Future........ some awesome tracks amongst some boring, go nowhere 'fillers'.

No doubt it'll be a great mix because its Digweed but meh..... some of those tracks there are uninspiring.

^^Agree there.

I'm sure Digweed will put it all together nicely, but nothing really groundbreaking or different.

Is this stupid argument still going around?

For fuck sake, the Reshuffle Mix of Stoppage Time is a belter of a tune when it is listened to in context.

Home listening does not do it justice, it absolutely pwns all when it is played out.

No its not a belter of a tune.... in any context.

There are millions of tunes that serve the same purpose that are a million times better.

I'd agree, but at the end of the day it's a successful Bedrock track on a Bedrock comp. So it's hardly a surprise he's put it on there.

It's not a bad track IMO, not great, but not worth pissing and moaning over.

I'd be surprised if Stoppage Time wasn't on the tracklisting.

Last years Bedrock 10 was a cracker, one of my favourite dance albums. Really looking forward to this one

Some very awesome sounds and moments in that track. So much potential for what should be an epic Spooky remix. CD 2 will be mental judging by the tracklist!

*sigh*

every track has it's time and place. Stoppage Time is a filler, yes, yes it is. but i'm pretty sure if you look at any dj's wallet they have many tunes like this in there. you can't just play absolute crackers the whole time.

the context is after a massive peak and you want to just cruise in the mix. to fill in time. give the crowd a rest. Figure fucking this: you've just played a massive stormer like Cass & Slide - Perception, now you want to play Sasha - Xpander you seriously really CAN NOT play one after the other...

you have to let the crowd mellow for a little bit, fill in some time. so you play a filler. let's call that filler Pob - The Fly. Get the point? If you don't, listen to GU013, look where the breakdowns are. its not track after track after track... it's track... rest... track... rest... and then in the last 20/30 minutes smash the fuck out of it.

in any case this compilation looks brilliant, will agree that its not groundbreaking, but still, brilliant cna't wait to hear the mixing.

Also, that Zabiela track sounds promising, first bit of interest i've found since weird science.

Up on iTunes now. Will be on Beatport later today.

If you get a digital download, you get the continuous mixes, plus every single track unmixed. It's a steal. If you decide to get it off Beatport, there is an interactive sleeve note thing apparently.

a_k, nice analogy, but completely flawed.

For a start that Pob track stands up on it's own. Yes, the ones either side of it are monsters, but that track would work anywhere.

Stoppage Time is just 10 minutes of virtually the same sound looped over and over and over and it goes nowhere. It's good for about 1 minute, anywhere beyond 3 to 4 minutes is complete and utter overkill and yet many DJ's play all 10 minutes.

It's fucking lazy, they all do it and whilst it might have been forgivable for one person to do it once, every fucking DJ on the planet playing it ad-neaseum is just wrong.

There are a million different tracks that can do the same thing.

I guess I see what you are saying. It's like the track which lets you leave the dancefloor to go have a cigarette or get a new drink or something like that.

I think I have figured out why the Djs are still playing it. It's incredibly easy to remember, so all those punters who don't know their arse from their elbow about tunes go crazy with excitement that they know this one !! . Dj's think this is love !!

REALLY dig this CD!

Awesome stuff from the diggers. I'll be very happy if he plays like this at FMF!

shame about stoppage time... but every other tune is killer so I will forgive him! And it's not as bland as it usually is in this mix, he layers a few other things over it and only plays it for a short bit. Actually works when it's played for 2mins!
