Friday 23 October 2009 Villa Nightclub Doors open at 10pm  Feadz : aka Zdnet : aka Ed Banger Boy : aka Fabien Pianta. If Kraftwerk and Salt-n-Pepa bumped uglies in a dark corner of Danceteria, Feadz would be their happy accident. He is a child of hip-hop and he’s yours at Villa on Friday 23 October with the super-cool sound of wow, Boy 8-Bit. Straight out of Paris, Feadz kicked it off in the 90’s scratching his way to a cult following and eventually hooking the Parisians underground scene with poppin’ mix tapes and crackin’ collaborations. After meeting the one-and-only Mr Oizo, they released ‘Analog Worms Attack’ in 1999, an EP which is still on the favourite list of many. ‘High B’ in 2001 showed he wasn’t just one-hit-wonder-boy; in fact, he followed it up with a further three EP’s in four years. Convincing his girlfriend to lend her vocals to a savant mix of his old school influences gave birth to the Uffie project – a romping success which first touched Aussies in 2006 with ‘Hot Chick/ In Charge’. Uffie and Feadz struck us again with ‘Pop the Glock/ Ready to Uff’ and ‘F1rst Love/ Brand New Car’. Club kids were united in their frenzy for Feadz. He’s remixed for Boys Noize and Justice, slapped the world upside the head with the EP ‘Happy Meal’ and the corker tune ‘Back It Up’, featuring Spank Rock and showcased on ‘Ed Roc Vol. 3’. Ed Banger is the label of the noughties and they’ve dedicated 2009 to the release of Feadz’s latest and best yet, ‘People, Money, Business, Numbers’ a crafty conglomerate of everything you want out of music: electro-house, mellow tastes of tech, flashbacks of rave and hands up hip hop woven with French finesse. With Feadz on the 1’s and 2’s at Villa is ‘The Colonel’ from the UK, Boy 8-Bit. He may have started out as a kid grabbing 8-bit samples from his Amiga, but he’s now a young man making mean music on his (more technically advanced!) computer. Fertilised by the guidance of some freakin’ gifted peeps, Boy 8-Bit released bleeping electronic masterpieces on Touche’s Body Clap label and became the man behind the Body Clap night – a night so huge it sits firmly at Fabric. Remixes abound of Chromeo, Midfield General, Lethal Bizzle, Hybrid and Armand Van Helden, but it’s his releases on Mad Decent heralding the biggest of ups: ‘The Suspense is Killing Me’ and ‘Wolfen’.  last time Feadz was here i thought he was a little average... but then again he was here for an average festival (Global Gathering) on an average day to an average crowd... maybe it was me that was average, not him. woah... this is gonna be great!!!!!!! edit: cacophany? now thats good writing... even if i didnt know who these guys were i would probably still go after reading that blurb! |

Yeah I saw him at a party in a carpark (sounds weird but was cool) in London and he was pretty average then too. We shouldn't jump to conclusions I guess, everyone has off days. He must be doing something right! But Boy 8-Bit should be cool.

spoke to feadz n boy 8-bit - they were both pretty cool people.
their sets were good, but i heard villa had 300 people max (800 is capacity). DJ hell was a heaps better atmosphere. lots of old timers there too haha |

yeah, turnout was definately pretty shit but didn't really mind in the end, was a good vibe and yes pretty much everyone got to chill with feadz hah what a sick guy.
